I seriously appreciate you're reactions of War Movies- You've done WW1 ones and WW2 ones- ((Don't forget Korean War ones, too)(This is a list of three Vietnam War movies inspired by real people, along with their real stories, the next three are easily plausible movies, merely inspired by actual or possible events:)) Inspired by Real Events: -'Casualties of War' (1989) Action-Drama. Based on actual events, Michael J. Fox stars. -'Good Morning Vietnam' (1987) Comedy-Action-Drama. Based on a real Armed Forces Radio host. Robin Williams stars. -'Born On the Fourth of July' (1989) Action-Drama. Based on actual events of Ron Kovic. Tom Cruise stars. Fictional, Yet Plausible: -'Full Metal Jacket' (1987)R. (Action-Drama) R. Lee Ermey stars, Matthew Modine and others. -'Apocalypse Now' (1979) (Action-Drama) Martin Sheen stars. -'Platoon' (1986) Charlie Sheen stars. (Action-Drama-Comedy)
I don't THINK you've reacted to The Mummy - Rachel Weiss (and BRENDAN FRASER!!!) stars in that, too. It's such a fabulous movie. I saw it with my friend in theaters for her Happy Mummy's Day present lol
Seen that when I was a child. Starting to think my mother let me a d my siblings watch too many movies or is it that some don't watch movie really. Idk but still surprises me of these old classics ppl react to like Forrest gimp saying first time 😅🤣😂
For me, the "family dinner" scene where Yelena reveals how their time in America was REAL FOR HER is the best part and the heart of the movie. Great writing and brilliant acting by Florence Pugh.
There's great foreshadowing to that which I didn't notice the first time. Like when Red Guardian hugs them while they're walking away from the copter Natasha breaks away right away but Yelena stays with him even as she complains about him.
You forgot the post credit scenes. In fact there were two versions for the end credits-One for the theater version and another that came with the DVD to compare which one you like the best. The post credit scene leads into the Hawkeye TV show.
I've always liked Black Widow. Thinking about your description of her as being overly sexual I'd like to point out that using their sexuality is part of the widow's training and probably starts at a very early age. Natasha may not be able to divorce herself from that completely.
This movie makes Nat's death in Endgame so much more painful. Knowing that Nat and Yelena would otherwise have had the time to reconnect and rebuild their sisterhood.
Alexei and Melina are deeply flawed people...broken people. They, like most in their "occupation" were horribly abused, specifically to themselves become abusers. That they managed to do as well as they did with Natasha and Yelena, is pretty impressive. But most of all, you can tell they really do care. It's sincere. You don't remember the words to your long-lost daughter's favorite song, verbatim, for two decades...only to sing it to her when she's hurting...if you don't love her.
Yeah that was a great look, also great that it zoomed in on her a little. Holden Hardman does that a lot when he shows movies to his girlfriend/fiance/wife on his RU-vid channel.
"I don't think tanks have that turning radius" Well, it's an APC, but still, that's a really impressive thing to catch in such a quick moment! Definitely not realistic 🤣
Regardless of how you feel about the movie, I’m so glad they resolved what happened with Clint and Natasha in Budapest. It was a throwaway line in the original avengers movie, and I thought at that time “ there’s an entire movie in that one line.”
If they forget, it probably means they don’t care that much. The post-credit scenes are more for super fans. Cassie often doesn’t remember elements from previous movies, so she’s not going to pick up on the subtle hints of post-credit scenes.
Cassie, you have to see Scar Jo in "Jo Jo Rabbit"!! That's a great movie -- takes place during WWII, in Germany, under the Nazis -- and her acting is amazing! Great film, some of it is funny, some of it is heart-breaking, and some is totally cool! You gotta see it!
Terminal velocity is not when you die. In this case terminal = final - as in the highest velocity your body shape can get to before drag stops you accelerating.
It’s important that you watch post credit scenes because they tie into future Marvel movies and/or series. Without the context you will be confused later.
FYI, terminal velocity doesn't have anything to do with the speed being enough to kill someone, it's the fastest speed an object can fall through the air (technically, it can refer to the fastest speed an object can fall through any liquid, but it's usually referring to falling through the air on Earth): the point where the friction from the atmosphere is enough to keep you from continuing to accelerate. Although hitting the ground at terminal velocity is almost certain to kill you, that's not where the name comes from. It's because it's the terminal point where the force of gravity is canceled out by the forces of friction and buoyancy so that the acceleration becomes zero.
But you can get severely injured hitting another object at that speed in the air right? Like another person missiling towards you can "running" right into can break bones, I could be wrong but I feel like that's right.
@@timjohnson3518 that depends on relative speed. How fast is that person rocketing towards you? It's equivalent to someone running towards you full tilt to a person riding a bike. The bad thing is you can't dodge out of the way unless youre trained to do aeral acrobatics. Then you can dodge (but even then you have no point of reference for how far away they are.)
Great reaction ladies! Now on a different subject, you MCU fans need to chill out! The last end credits scene is stupid. They're standing on Black Widow's gravestone cracking jokes. SERIOUSLY?! I thought that the filmmakers ruined her proper send-off by doing that. So I could care less that Popcorn In Bed didn't include it in her reaction. 😆😆🤣🤣🙃
This is not the Black Widow movie I wanted. To me, the entire movie felt like it was obviously setting up Scarlett Johansson's Black Widow replacement.
@@madpaduk Little Drummer Girl is one of the best series I’ve seen ever! And I was actually just coming to the comments to recommend Fighting with My Family as well. Nice to have an actress who has already had two months of WWE training to be in a Marvel film!
Actually tanks have a tighter turning radius than most cars, IF you do it right. You see both sets of tracks can be used independently. So have one move forward, while the other moves backwards and the tank will turn in place, with absolutely no forward movement.
@@edreed9189 LOL I first learned it playing Battle Zone in the early 80s, and actually had it confirmed in the early 90s. True what they showed was an APC but tanks are more maneuverable than most think.
My tank (US Army tanker for a decade) could slide turn like that, but top speed ... faster than you think, but not that fast. Regardless, that wasn't a tank. It was a BRDM or something similar.
Another cookie cutter film from MCU glad to watch it through you guys as i would never bother watching this myself, you know what happens to her so........ Good watch tho you guys always entertain!
You can absolutely control yourself while falling. That is what skydivers do when they form those big formations and whatnot. There is a thing called iFly (indoor skydiving) where you can learn how to do all the controls in a wind tunnel.
I could see Carly having her "poser" moments about Cass....something growing up that Cass did but little sis found annoying. Ideal movie for you both to watch
Pugh was great in this. I didn't know she was in it before I saw it. Didn't watch any previews and the reviews, for some reason, weren't very friendly. Maybe because the the streaming and theater controversy.
I love this movie. The only complain is that it should've been Black Widow II. Black Widow one should've basically been everything around Budapest, start to finish with no mention of her childhood. Technically you could still do it.
"Captain Falcon".....nice!!. Glad that you have your sister to watch it with you; I like the parallel with sisters in the movie and sisters watching it...awesome.
When their fake dad was in prison and bragging about fighting Captain America, he likely wasn't lying. Steve Rogers did go back in time at the end of End Game, and live through time with Peggy till they both aged, so he likely was doing secret missions, probably some of which were with Peggy when she ran SHIELD during the Cold War.

The entire scene from the helicopter crash to 'Mum's house' was all shot in Surrey, England, a few miles from where I live. Hankley Common, and indeed, the wider area, has been used for a number of Marvel movies. In the case of Hankley Common however, the local village, Thursley, is named after Thor, which I must assume is some production in-joke for those 'in the know'. The common even doubled for Scotland for the ending of Skyfall.
I really enjoyed Black Widow. It has alot of good action, mixed with that on-brand humor we have come to expect. Plus the dynamic they all have as a "family" is great. Yelena (Florence) has one of the best introductions in the franchise. Funny, interesting and she loves Nat, even though they aren't actually sisters. The love they all feel is real. Speaking of Yelena, watch the Hawkeye series. That is all I will say. Overall, this movie was entertaining. And that is exactly what I want out of Marvel movies. Entertainment. 👌
It's MCU... you ALWAYS watch until the very end. There's like, rules and stuff about that. Now you hafta post what you thought after you 'really' finish the movie.
I actually didn’t really like Natasha either until I saw this movie. Then like you, I got sad knowing she dies. And you’re right that Red Guardian was great in this, but that might also be my love of Hopper coming out haha.
Black Widow has been one of my favorite characters since the Avengers movie where they elevated her character. They should have made & released this movie several years ago; they did SJ wrong in my opinion.
@@andyrobin7196 if you’re not entering the movie invested in the character then certainly this movie won’t change that. For those of us that are fans of Black Widow, we enjoy seeing a backstory. I would have enjoyed it being darker and not so comedic, but I like how they use her story as a metaphor for what the world actually does to women in terms of overriding their freedom of choice.
Captain Marvel is definitely the worst major character in the MCU. But Wanda, Natasha, Valkyrie, Hela, Agatha, Jane, Darcy, Pepper, Morgan, Peanut, Janet, Hope, Gamora, Mantis, Yelena, Kate, Maya... they're all great or at least fine. Captain Marvel just sucks in many different ways. About 40% of this is Brie Larson's fault and 60% is just how the character is written.
I guess your not a DC fan, but you might at least Like the Wonder Woman flicks, 1st is best (tad darker/serious/intense) 2nd (more lighthearted/campy/80's style/chick flicky) sister should join.
He has photographic muscle memory, so he can mimic body movements flawlessly just by watching. So like, say he never took a day of karate in his life. If he watched a black belt do a kick, he could then do that exact kick exactly as if he had done that kick a thousand times before. He wouldn't be able to do any other kick though, unless he watched them do another one. He's also naturally gifted at hand to hand, since he can see precisely what you're doing.
Red Guardian was a Russian attempt at copying Captain America. Which is why I loved when Yelena called him Crimson Dynamo, which was (one) of the Russian attempts to copy Iron Man. (Titanium Man being another.)
I think your comments sum up all Marvel movies... they are so good and impressive... but strangely SO forgetible! Whenever I go back to watch one I can never remember what happened in each movie. - Maybe the acting and effects over power the sub par story's?
the blue hair over a yellow shirt sleeve - Natasha is possibly ethnically Ukrainian but raised in USSR = Natasha is a true Cozak or even more from the Steppes = Amazon Warrior.
Best part about this film is the "family," particularly Natasha and Yelena. It is, overall, a decent enough Marvel action flick. My BIGGEST complaint is, I wish they would have used a different villain! Task Master is one of the COOLEST villains in all of Marvel! A mutant with "photographic reflexes" that can immediately mimic and perform any physical skill he witnesses! Hence, the shield and the bow and arrow! In the comics, he also carries a sword, and other weapons/devices! I just feel like TM was wasted in this movie!
Did I hear correctly them saying Brie Larson isn't a good actor? Ya'll realise she won an Oscar for best actress? I think what you should say is, you didn't like the way she portrayed the character.
I think you'll like Shang Chi, too. BTW, the "ang" part of Shang is pronounced like the "ong" in "wrong", not like the "ang" in "hang". I never knew it until the movie came out.
okay you guys need to see brie in more independent films/shows: united states of tara, room, short term 12. brie is fanfuckingtastic. she's also ridiculous fun in scott pilgrim vs. the world for as long as she's in it.
I heard mixed reviews... Never heard details. But since you reacted to this movie, I had to watch it. I'll be honest, this movie was a let down for me. As soon as the character was introduced as a kid, I knew who was Natasha, and I knew her sister would be important. Pretty much everything in this was "oh, maybe they'll do this, but more likely they'll do that." almost always, it was the "more likely" So much of this felt like "we have a specification to follow, figure out how to make it happen" Honestly, to me, this was the LONGEST Marvel Movie I've watched to date. It felt like the entirety of the Lord of The Rings Trilogy Original and Director's Cut back to back to get from opening credits to the start of the closing credits. There are TOO many flaws in the story to even get in to. As for "controlling yourself in the air" Skydivers do this all the time. That's how 10 people jumping out of 1 plane travelling at say, a mere 80 miles per hour (117 fps) at a rate of 1 person per 5 seconds, not even counting gravity's effect on altitude, can and do, come together ignite smoke packs and form unified (hand in hand) formations in skydiving shows. By bending your body and extending or folding in your extremities (legs and arms) they can maneuver themselves together even though the distance from the first diver to the last is 5,265 feet, again not accounting for the acceleration downward) so basically a mile between diver 1 and diver 10. It would come down to a. training (knowing how to move yourself the direction you want to travel over the distance you want to travel, in the time you have to travel that distance) b. comprehension (your ability to understand the various speeds and times involved) and c. Determination (If you screw up, you don't achieve your goal, is it worth losing your life if you're wrong) [simplest analogies: If your body is straight and you're basically face down, toes up (or vice versa) you produce less wind resistance/drag and thus accelerate faster than someone who is "flat and parallel to the ground) as a larger portion of your body has to break the resistance of the air below you. Meanwhile, if you have your legs together and your arms tucked next to you, you will have a more direct path, than if you stuck your left arm our as far as it could go, which increases resistance/drag on that side of your body, causing both a change in your direction, and a change in the orientation of your body to the surface below.]
Adding my voice to the suggestions you definitely need to check out the POST-credits scene. Its relevant to both Falcon & The Winter Soldier, which you just watched, and stuff you will be watching soon.
6:22 In the comics Alexei was Natasha's husband rather than her dad. The KGB faked his death and he became an assassin called The Red Guardian. They used his faked death to manipulate her into becoming one too.
