I can so relate to the struggle of finding that balance of filming versus living the experience. I've been editing videos from a trip and I've found voiceovers to be invaluable, but I've also realised i took waaaay too much b-roll, and its made editing an absolute slog. I need to be more intentional, and have at least a loose plan next time before I go away. Great video, and I'm looking forward to checking these out - particularly Alison and Life of Riza. Great storytelling is such an art, and one I still feel like a babe in the woods with! 😄

My favorites are Tim and Shaffer, but there is also Gawx. I have been following him for the past three years, and in that time, he never made a boring video. He is just so brilliant at everything.

Just today "discovered" your channel, and after watching a few of your videos, wish I'd known sooner. Great content! ON this particular video, I'd only heard of one of these creators (but will now take a look at the others too).... Life of Riza. Totally agree with you! Her work is unlike anyone else (that I've seen) and quite impressive, from the storytelling to the cinematic qualities....a must see & follow. Been watching her' channel for the past year or so.

exactly! I think the key is to figure out how to tell a compelling story. That's the one thing that runs between all of these amazing creators that sets them apart from everyone else. If you have a great story and film it on an iPhone it will be so much more impactful than a bad story filmed on a cinema camera. Thanks so much for watching and subscribing!

Life of Riza is totally a huge inspiration to me, but just like mr.beast said, getting some inspiration from other places will really upgrade you, and it feels good to know that there are so many other people from the parts of the world who have these stories to tell, especially stories that can and will resonate with you at some point.
