Unfortunately, when the Spanish came over, they banned that device because they thought of it as a Devil's tool. But later on, some college student during the late 1800s found this tool and thought of making a piston out of it which later on became a working engine of what we now know today. Yes, a lot of people took our ideas and never gave credit for it. This separation of hydrogen and water is okay but you need a very tight container to protect the hydrogen from exploding. Thus, in a case of accident it would very be disastrous. I mean this is why toyota developed this in their mirai with a very strong container for the hydrogen. Pls correct me if im wrong.
