I think I aged a couple years during the caulking. LMAO. Seriously though, great information!! I have been trying to find some straight answers on properly venting my hot water heater.
So I don't understand why any person would buy or install a hot water heater anyway unfortunately my water is not heated prior to entering my home so I have a water heater to heat the cold water as it goes through the home guess you city people get your water pre heated lol also you said storm drain two times first time you corrected to storm collar guess that was what you mean any required screws to lock the vent cap and different sections of pipe together like the original one had so that heavy wind or animals like roof rats or squirrels can not get in or hide there nuts in the vent my wife keeps mine in her purse so that are safe also what about foil tape on connections and what is the temp rating for 100% silicon I know the automobile stuff has black blue and red all have different temperature ratings I know I know pulling your chain a little bit buddy went to a home today and found this this is not what I do for my job however I know how bad this was 2 adults and 4 children in home so I did my best to fix it for safety reasons landlord (slumlord) thing all lives matter just looking for more knowledge thanks man some one had lifted the vent pipe and the water heater hat or whatever that part that connects to the pipe and top of water heater after 20 minutes in garage I was feeling the air quality was bad
