The Water of Leith in Edinburgh bursts its banks and floods the footpath and cycleway. Footage from earlier this evening (23rd May 2024), taking in Edinburgh's famous river from Canonmills to Dean Village. The video starts at Stockbridge looking down on the Antony Gormley Statue, barely visible in the torrent. It continues on the other side of the bridge to Stockbridge Colonies, along the Rocheid Path where the walkway to Canonmills is completely impassable due to rapidly moving water and over 3 foot of flooding on the path. It then loops back, passing 3 more bridges, coming to Dean Village where the waterfalls are raging foam and the Dean Path to the Modern Art Gallery is completely submerged and unpassable in many parts.
