Aquarelle et plus. Diverses façons de dessiner des buildings et un paysage urbain. Démarche ludique, techniques variées. Watercolor. Drawing buildings in various way . having fun with different techniques. • Watercolor cityscape
That was so imaginative. The funny thing is, I normally detest collage, but that was superb. Loved the colours you used, so many people are afraid of using colour in watercolours but you really went for it. Brilliant demo!!! Thanks.
I love working with watercolor but I'm new to painting buildings with watercolor. This video was very inspiring. It made me want to think out of the box and try new techniques. Your work was beautiful.Thank you for sharing!
My goodness Umberto! There is so much here I don't know where to begin! I am totally blown away! From the drywall tape start to the mixed media finish and everything in between. You are very talented and so generous to share your techniques. Inspiring!
Wow. Magnificent! Throughout the entire video I'm mesmerized and in awe of how creative your techniques are! Who would have thought to use dry wall tape and big flat brush + knife for buildings! You, sir, are on another level. Bravo! It's like I was watching an art clip/documentary installation in a museum!
You are one of the most creative water colour artists... I think this is the most important idea, to explore all the opportunities there are. I am certainly fascinated about your investigation of different media and how they work together etc. Thanks for sharing with all of us who may not be that brave, or that diligent as you are, but who want to explore all kinds of possibilities, but give up too easily when it seems not to work out the way we thought it would. I think I am a slow learner, though I till recently did not really understand that it is by your mistakes you really learn, as well as learn from other peoples experiences. Thanks! /Erik
I love this painting and finally tracked down the tape .its called plasterboard tape in the uk . What fun it was to do , you have made me think out of the box .Many ,many thanks for yet another superb demonstration . Please keep on showing us the way you achieve your wonderful master pieces . . I wake very early and watch you paint , a delightful way to start the day !
You know, I have been a marginally professional artist for a very long time. And I thought I had seen just about everything. But you just showed me several things in one short video that have never seen done, or done as well, before. I'm impressed. Gioachino Rossini, a very nice touch as well, one of my favourite pieces of classical music.
Cathy Rose Creations Thank you cathy. I hope people can find the same kind of tape where you are. The one i found is particularly suitable and low sticking to avoid damaging the paper.
great video, really helpful to watch you paint. my only crit would be to use simpler transitions between cuts? they distract from how great the art is.
Wonderful piece! A joy to watch you work. Where do I find the signs and letters to add, and how do I change the angles on them for the right perspective. Thank you!!
Thank you for replying Umberto. But you leave the tape on is that what you are telling me. I know it is taking time for it to sink in for me but I tried with tape that you pulled off (the tape that you buy to keep rugs from moving) and was quite pleased with the results but then I called at the diy store and bought what they said was calico dry wall tape but when I painted it and removed it all the paint had smudged so tried leaving same tape on and it looks better. Thank you for your help. My painting might not be any good but at least it's got the creative juices flowing and I am now looking for other materials with an eye to use in my paintings which I would never have thought about without you.
