Thanks for giving us permission to play with our art. It’s so easy to get into the rut of “have-tos” and miss opportunities to be creative from our own visions.
Thanks! Love the abstract pieces, Shana, but mostly love the variety of your tutorials…so different, but always teaching an important watercolor concept.
Thank you so much, Pam. I love to switch it up and paint a variety of things and take you all along g for the journey. Thank you for your support so I can continue to bring you new videos each week.
Just love the abstract line and wash; it makes me "squiggle and shake." It is my favorite watercolor technique. I agree with hanging it vertical--and THANK YOU for adding in that last oval at the end. I was looking at that spot thinking it would be a good place for another pen line or circle! Your videos are great to watch on Sunday mornings while I drink my tea. Thank you!
This is lovely - the color combos are soothing. I do like the piece vertical & would suggest you flip it vertically the other way - I bet that would like nice as well. Thank you for explaining your process so thoroughly &, if possible, I would love to see you take on some more abstract pieces. Thank you.
Vertical makes it feel as if all the dots and circles are coming up and out of the V of the black lines and horizontal gives the feeling of the dots and circles are falling from the black line V.
Portrait! I love the color choices. Often I have trouble making 3 cohesive colors. I have some winners but also some bad choices. You mentioned not using indigo much. I LOVE that color!
I am planning to refurbish my Lounge and I could use small colour combinations to find the look & colours I want in my Lounge and paint a big version along your abstract ideas in varying sizes. I have loads of combinations to try. Thank you so much for sharing 💐
That is awesome EVEN THOUGH I'm not a fan of abstract, but am going to try some simple ones soon, and orange and blue are my least fave colors LOL. I like the purple/yellow complimentary so would try that. This is really wonderful though. As for which way to hang it? I would probably change it now and then because both look stunning! Thanks for sharing this lovely piece, Shana.
