Thank you so much! 😊 For flowers I am familiar with or have painted before like Daisies, Cosmos Poppies etc. I paint them by heart. But flowers that are new to me I find reference. I found reference for Freesia and did a test painting first before I painted this 😊

I came across it by accident, exactly at the point where I was already tired and much disappointed by following other watercolor channels where only ads of highly expensive professional watercolor paints are made. And the artists there actually are not so naturally talented like you!

By the way, since my childhood freesia has been my most favorite flower and yours is beautiful! But it seems tricky. Moreover, a white one seems to me very challenging to paint...I haven't even dare to try it or if I try, it would be definitely another color!!! 😉

Thank you so much! 😊 I am using the Kuretake Gansai Tambi 12 pan palette. Here are the colours used for each flowers. Poppies: no.32 Red, no.31 Cadmium scarlet, no.40 Lemon yellow for the flowers. no.46 Burnt Sienna, no.20 Black for the dark center. no.53 Sap green, no.46 Burnt Sienna for the stem. Mimosa: no.40 Lemon yellow, no.44 Yellow ochre for the flowers. no.53 Sap green, no.55 Viridian, no.46 Burnt sienna, no.20 Black for the stem. White Freesia: no.64 Ultra marine for the flowers with a bit of no.40, Lemon yellow and no.44 Yellow ochre for the center. Stem I used the same mix used for mimosa leaves. Cherry blossoms: no.32 Red, no.31 Cadmium scarlet for first layer, no.36 Rose madder deep, no.32 Red for the darker second layer. For the stem no.46 Burnt sienna, no.20 Black, no.32 Red. Thank you so much! I used Princeton synthetic watercolour round brushes size 4 and 8 and Ashley 1877 size 1 brush.

Thank you so much! yes.. you are right poppies stem fuzz painting is missing in my video as my camera stopped recording that time. Sorry about that. Glad I realised it before I started painting the second flower 😊 The fuzz is random small fine lines, I paint the lines slightly thicker and thinner here and there to make it look more natural.

My camera stopped recording when I painted that part. Sorry about that. But in my new video which is available now, I am painting a bumble bee which has the hairy details that is the same technique used for the Poppies stem. You may want to check that ☺️
