Excellent, well-made video. Very clear explanation of colour mixing. How generous that it's free too.

I keep three jars: warm colors, cold colors, and a clean water one. Thanks so much for the warm and cold color separation. I had no idea. Every little bit helps. Money can’t buy the kind of fun and joy I experience with your teachings. I feel so fortunate. So thanks for that also. ❤

Making colour charts with my various colours based on your video has really helped me understand the different biases to my colour - and also gives me a handy reference tool for when I'm looking for a *particular* shade of a colour. I started with Lemon Yellow and Cadmium Yellow as the base colours, mixing with the four blues in my palette and was amazed by some of the colours that showed up! Also - highly recommend the beginner's guide to water colour video to anyone just starting out! It was how I found you, and totally covered everything I needed as I took my first steps into watercolour!

Eye opener! Your messy palette has been giving me anxiety but until now , I didn’t realize your warms and cools were separated. Also, I noticed you are rinsing your brush between warms and cools. I finally get it!

Thank you for this easy and straightforward explanation. I would love to know the best way to set up my dry half pans in my palette. From seeing yours it definitely makes sense to separate the cools from the warms.

The greatest tip I´ve learned from you was to separate the jars by cool and warm colors!!! You are a genius. It is far better than to use jars of clean and dirty water exactly for this reason: to keep pigment the purest!

I love how vibrant your pieces always turn out! especially the Matisse-inspired landscapes! (Did you retire the old water cups lol, i kinda like the dirty jars...they felt like old friends)

Thanks for the concise info. I’m trying to reorganize my palette, and will order the palette on your supply list. I have one with 3 large mixing areas, and is challenging at times

So I want to use watercolors for this drawing. I want the background to be like midnight blue and some light blues and aqua. But I have Beluga whales in the center and a moon. How do I keep the dark colors from bleeding into the belugas (I want to keep them white but add some very light grey for definition) and keep the moon realistic or make it a super light yellow color. Please help 🥰

Nice to see you,. Plz take it slowly...don't want you on your back again. Being healthy is more important so that you can direct us in the right way!!

I'm still never sure what people mean when they say avoiding muddy colours. Do you mean browns? Because sometimes (a lot of the time) I want browns in my work. Likewise with desaturated colours they are incredibly important
