His forests with steps and the one with green/ochre water. Lovely! And of course the last one with nature taking over. Breath taking! Thank you!!

Those large rocks and reflections at 2:42, the river rocks at 12:55, palm trees, buildings, and perspective at 14:43, and most of all the monastery at 15:26. I think it's his use of the darkest values against the lightest ones that draw me into the scene, and maybe the use of hard and soft edges...Whatever it is thank you, Liron for introducing us to yet another wonderful artist!

Definitely the seminary ! Colours and composition I found more harmonious. Also he really created a special atmosphere. That's the best aspect of the work.

Wow! His control over light and shadow is incredible. It seems to allow him to pack his work with detail without distracting from the composition. Each of his paintings almost demand extensive time with them.

Oh yes...the tension in that red bridge with the sharp lines! I could feel the height almost instilled fear. Not that I would want that in my living room, but I just like the way he creates a tangible mood in every work.

I love the abandoned building interior at 4:00 minutes into the video. The red and blue balance in that piece was amazing.

What beautiful paintings. My favorite is the first one you showed with the narrow boardwalk weaving through the water. I happen to like green and purple and variations of them, so this was especially appealing to me. I really like how he uses fine, calligraphic line work which contrasts with softer areas of color.

I love the railway car in the field. It is interesting that there is a tree growing inside the car. The colors are so realistic that you feel that I am there. Along the same line is the abandoned car that is stuck in the mud. It looks like someone gave up and left the car where it was.

Abandonded building .... definitely my favorite. Maybe because slightly reminds me my ultimate favorite Marc Folly.... also introduced to me by Liron!

I love these lessons on different painters. I loved most of the pictures the first one the most. You questioned whether this was a Marsh or a Swamp. It is a Swamp a Marsh is all grasses, reeds, or sedges. Like the saltmarshes in south Louisiana.

He does something unusual, he omits detail in the places the brain would naturally omit. Most artists seem to feel a need to include everything. He does this without neglecting to include complexity, which he also does in the point the brain would naturally want to look at. The images with vehicles are the least effective. I liked the early image with the rocks and water, and the beach scene you liked less, also the nearly monochrome church or cathedral closeup with the upper part very detailed and the lower very minimal, very clever because that is the reverse of what most artists would think was how to paint a view, you know, building at the bottom sky above. He is a breaker of rules, I think, and enjoys it. The people in his beach scenes are wonderfully individual and do not look generic. He is an artist whose work reads very well.

You saved the best for last. When it popped up, I said, "WOW". Thanks for the detailed review. Hope you have a very productive new year and always watercolor from your heart.

Very nice collection! He reminds me of Kanta Harusaki as far as some technique. Lovely use of water!

The abandoned boxcar really spoke to me and now I'm trying to figure out what it was trying to say to me. I'm not trying to be funny, it just hit me somewhere but I don't know where. It's churning and churning. I know there are some viewers out there who know what I mean. Keep doing what you're doing, Liron, because you're good at it.

Choosing a favorite is impossible, but I can't get out of my mind's eye the picture with the ornate towers on a cathedral (?) in the top 1/3 of the picture and the bare stone wall below. The colors, the texture...amazing. Thanks, Liron.

I like looking at old abandoned asylums creepy but interesting the paining is fantastic

Love them all, but I particularly like the cafe or luncheonette inside/outside scene. Almost monochromatic with gentle touches of blue-grays and greyed down pinks. The composition kept my eyes searching through the painting imagining the story behind it. The front windows have only slight reflections, just enough to give the impression of looking through glass. More reflections on the tabletops and then even more pronounced side windows reflections. Thank you for sharing this skilled and talented artist.

Thanks for showing this artist's work Liron - there's several of these I'd hang in my home, but the Abandoned Boxcar at 10:00 is one of the most fascinating to me. It shows an incredible range of style, particularly in the contrast between the distant/fogged background and the stark color and detail of the foreground, creating great depth. Amazing how two very different approaches can both contain great detail. Thanks!

The paintings I particular liked, was the beach scenes and the one right after that also at 12:14 but I did like quite a lot of them.

Interesting. Sometimes, even the artists I personally dont like their style, could be inspiring. I m not able to choose the best or most interesting picture here. It s more like theres a good and bad moments for me on every one of those pictures. I absolutely adore how Carlos is expresing light, that s awesome and so those light shadows are! I hate how Carlos is presenting dark shadows, especially the color chosen (I would go for more blue-ish or purple-ish neutral than those black ones to extend the awesome light expresion he does). In some cases there are an awesome background, very loose and harmonic, sometimes its just too overworked and therefore feels a bit tense or distracting. Next awesome are those reflections, they almost always look better than the original reflected, and thats a bit pity to me. I like the themes chosen a lot but I seriously (unlike u mr. Liron) dont like the composition in most pictures, making me unpleasant feeling of need to widen the view. Same goes with the object placing that in most pictures does not correspond with the overall composition and in some of them even blocking the flow. Then theres the green color. He does a lot of nature but those greens are sooo artificial and that distract me a lot. If that is intentional it s not the way it works for me. Overall I must say that the light expression is so good it kinda makes me jealous even if theres a feel (i dont know if Carlos does or not) like theres a lot of pencil contoures done first and then filled with the watercolor (which is like a barbarism to me in relation to watercolor and i hate it) so why even watercolor then if u want to control? Anyway thank you for your interesting choice of artist here and your interesting commentary.
