I am John Salmon a watercolour artist from Enfield, North London. This speeded up video is of a watercolour painting which features woodland trees and a stream and shows how I add some final touches to the artwork.
Growing up in Enfield, I spent a lot of time exploring the local area, from Hilly Fields, Turkey Brook, Whitewebbs, Forty Hill, Trent Park and everywhere in between. These spots hold a special place in my heart and bring back all sorts of fond memories. I like to cycle back to these locations, armed with a sketchbook and a packed lunch. Nothing beats sitting by a babbling brook in the sunshine, with my pencils and sketchbook, listening to the birdsong.
