Hi Leila, First you did a good job; let me help you a little bit. (not sure if by now you figure it out already) For better change on series color you need to bring back the legend first. Now for any series you need to change color, click twice on it (with a "click-gap" of 1 second at least). The series will be selected Now on the right, under legend entry Options you can play with filling and border colors and effect as you wish.
Thanks! That does make it easier to manage color. I'm still not a big fan of the new charting interface. We have three separate series which we can control to an extent from the legend but can't select from the chart element drop-down.... maybe that will be updated in later versions. Thanks for the feedback.
I appreciate this video - it taught me a ton. However, I learned today that if you keep the legend visible, you can change the color of each series on each chart without having to change the theme colors. :)
To change the color of an individual series without fooling around with theme colors, just individually select the Increase/Decrease/Total from the Chart legend and you can make them any color you want.
@@LeilaGharani if you leave the legend on the chart you can click once and then again on the increase, decrease, and total so that you select each individually and then change the fill colour. Totally agree though with your issues with the chart. It's very disappointing. Your full method (I'm just finishing the course) takes time but the result is much better! Thanks!
Hi bro, I am sure you have more direct and less time consuming method. First of all, this is a tutorial video for needy and aspiring students and professionals, who are like a tourist in fresh city or country and just having a glance in TV, PC and on mobile screen. That's why she always taught in detail. Secondly, she is from Iran, then move to Australia at the age of 12, studied in Canada. By deeply experiencing the Asian and Western culture she knew, what should be the pace of her speech and accent which is easily and clearly understood for native speaker and non-native speakers. By the way, accept my thanks to you for your smart and direct method. Again thanks alot. Bye bye !!!
Another limitation is, if copy-pasted this chart to PowerPoint, the Animation options are limited. It does not provide option of Animation Effect Options.
awesome work Leila, I am also your student in Udemy. I still have to go through your charts course (my bad), can you please put more higher volume next time in your videos? also can you please show WF chart which shows Profit from one year to another - factor changes : Sale, COGS, GM, OH and profit at end ???
Hi Prashant! Great to see you here too.I'm just putting a video together with some real-case examples for different variations of the waterfall. An example for profit is also in there. I'll post it to RU-vid once finalized. Thanks also for the volume suggestion.
@@LeilaGharani Leila, I’ve got a question from two previous videos: (Visualize your KPI on a map) & (Matrix or Excel Panel Charts) videos .. How to fix the axes to have a max and min values because when I go to the axes options I only find the auto option. Excel 2016
