Watering Crops WITHOUT A Sprinkler ! Hydroneer Farming Update [E2] 

When you drop seeds on top of each other they DON'T Despawn they combine.

Several people have commented on this already, but they are not all together. When you purchase a packet from the Shop, it's a SINGLE Seed and will create a single Plant. When you drop packets on each other, they combine and THAT Packet will have TWO seeds and create two plants. This is symbolized by the DOT on the side of the packet. Harvested Veg can be placed in the Seed Mill (needs to be supplied with Water) and will be grinded up and turned into Seeds. As each Tomato Plant (from ONE Seed) can produce up to 3 Tomatoes and the quantity of seeds produced by the Seed Mill is based on weight, generally a 3-Tomato Plant will get you between 3 and 4 Seeds, so, initially, plan to purchase MORE seeds, but save some of the Veg from the first harvest to run through the Seed Mill to get the Seeds for the second round of planting. Do note that you'll get a single packet per run of the Seed Mill, but it'll contain multiple seeds. Plants will not grow additional Veg. Once you start picking the Veg, that's all the plant will produce. So Harvest your crop, apply the Scythe to remove the (permanently) dormant plant, and replant. Again, turn SOME of the previous Harvest into Seeds for the next round of planting. If you decide to remove a plant when it's still very young, you will most likely get your seed back, but if the plant is grown and "fruiting", you will not. The Harvested produce is not necessarily 1 Weight. Each piece of Veg will have a semi-random value between 0.8 and 1.3 (that's the range I've seen), but mostly between 1 and 1.2. A 3-Tomato Plant, if fully turned into Seed, will most likely produce between 3 and 6 Seeds. As the WEIGHT of each piece of Veg varies a bit, you need to weigh it before putting it into the Pot. If you need 4 Tomato Soup, you'll probably only need 3 Tomatoes, but might need a 4th, depending on the weight of EACH Tomato (like I said, it varies). So the Scale is VERY important. Also, if the customer says it's Mank, it means the Veg Weight is off (probably a touch low). They'll give you the Soup back, and will NOT pay you. You'll have to go make them a fresh Soup with the proper weight of Veg...

Look at 14:38 When you selected the first seed packet, it had one red dot on the side. After dropping it on the other, it had two. It is possible they are merging, like the coins do.

z the seeds dont disappear if multiple of the same seed bag interacts with another, if you look on the side of the seed bags you can see how many seeds are in the bag so if you had multiple 1 seed bags you could turn those into say 2/3/4 ect seed bags uuntil the bags are full. to make life easier grow a few rounds of crops and turn those into seeds, you normally get more seeds back than you have used so you dont have to keep buying seeds, although i recommend making just 2 long lines of crops and use those to make the seeds and use a different space for the things you need for soup

Tip you know when the seeds were combining. and there is only l seed in each packet when they combine it multiplies it by 2

leave the water running - do not stop it with valve - also have a drip point above the cauldron to refill it easily (with a valve). Put tomatoes in water when it is boiled,. weight cutted tomatoes before putting them in the boiler - i am guessing you gave 40+ weight of tomatoes to the guy that needed 19 install a perma-day mod since you record videos

you want to weight the cut tomatoes before they go into the soup to get accurate weights for the contracts.

Just a tip for harvesting your vegetables, the magnet stick can grab them and then you don't have to pick each one by hand. Also the logic magnet can also grab them allowing for semi automated farming

I noticed 1 trick from watching another video. Buy 1 pack of seeds. Run the veggies threw the seeder. 2 to 4 tomatoes (not plants) = 4 seeds. Harvest and you gain exponentially seeds. 1st pack = 4 veg = 4 seed. Next 4 plants produce 4 each so 16 seeds. 64 256 ECT. But for at least tomato and carrots look like water plant harvest over and over no need to replant unless was a glitch.

If I may request a little change of settings for your future playthroughs: make sure to disable motion blur. It will drastically improve the watching experience on account of not causing motion sickness. Thank you! Keep up the great work!

Z! You should put more space between the crops and the watering pipes. Then you can get the crop planter at the farming shop!

I don't think you need the tokens to buy the sprinklers. Looking at a other streamer didn't see him sell any soep. Anyway the harvester is a good upgrade. It plants and harvest at the same time. Ps 24:25 rotate t piec up elbow and strait no extra needed 😉

I have a theory: the seed packets can combine like money. Hear me out just like money piles they dont combine in pans,etc, but they will outside them like on the buy platform, after they're bought. I also think that when u put them in the storage crate mod thing it resets the value when u pull it out

you can stack seeds like coins, the colored dot on the side of the packet denotes how many are in it. so drop one on top of another and you will have 1 bag with 2 dots

i think the best way to do it is to grow a lot throw the veggies in the truck with buckets of water and the cooker and cook them when you find the person with a quest

wonder if a harvesting system with magnets will work with the crops. i think conveyor belts at ground level with a magnet pulling crops the side onto the belt would prolly work. i know they have a harvesting vehicle but it seems like its gonna be hard to use with the irrigation pipes in the way. love your videos

You know you don't need to pay for the farming village stuff other than the combine otherwise there is no anti theft security in the shops

I'm curious if these vegies are magnetic like all the other things in Hydroneer. If so, a magnet on a stick could save some sanity.

The number refers to the weight... not the quantity of vegetables.

Just keep the water running so you don't waste time with them being dry and you not noticing, don't think you can over water them

the soup is base on weight of the vegetables and you can combine cut vegetables like seeds

So I was right about the seeds. The mod must be bugging them when you put them in the mod crates

You know, maybe instead of cutting everything down, you could just leave 1 on each plant type as is and actually test if they regrow or not, instead of just assuming that they don'T regrow (just like you assumed that seeds vanish if you stack them on top of another...).

Seems you recorded back to back with these videos also there are grocers who buy plants you don't have to do quest and that also means plants regrow the time for regrowth is roughly the time it takes to cut down the plant then plant then water and grow it again (it's a theory I'm testing out on my own videos)

Everyone is telling the truth about the seeds, and the storage box is breaking it resetting it to one seed per package.

They should add trailers that you could attach to the quad so you could carry more things.

you can sell veg and such at a store but u only get hydrocoins ... u have to do the quests to earn tokens it seems.. and u wnat to make the bowls of soup to what the people want
