Decades since I last played Shako (1st Ed.) - a good Napoleonic rule set. Btw, if the figures are sculpted wearing the later 'Belgic' shako, you needn't worry about the pom poms because they are correctly on the side (but if wearing the earlier 'stovepipe' shako, they should be in the middle, as you say).
Good stuff much like my own choice of halving the bases i am using age of eagles however i bought the complete range upto scots and guard and im not liking the thought of painting my lot lol but yours are giving me inspiration and i thank you for that all best
Nice job, I have been painting a few bases, so I know how much work has gone into yours, as there is nice detail on the figure. I have glued a load of bases up with temporary glue, so I can get some games in with the raw plastic (yes I know .... but needs must!), while I cycle units over the painting desk. It seems a good way to avoid the burnout that you previously experienced. I am also mounting my 10 man strips onto 55mm MDF bases to cut down the gap between bases you get when using the supplied 60mm bases are used. look forward to seeing how Shako works out for you.
