today marks the end of an era. after nearly ten years on both the Wii U and Switch, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe has come to an end, with the final wave of the booster course pass officially out! wave 6 brought us plenty of surprises - the return of funky kong, the finale that is wii rainbow road, but to me, wave 6 is more than that. it's more than just leaks and surprises and hype.

Turns out the meteor effect is actually still on Wii Rainbow Road it just doesn’t last as long.

This whole wave was probably the happiest I have ever been playing Mario Kart, and that's saying a lot. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is one of the best racing games ever.

This wave was just fantastic. Imo the weakest track was PPC and even then, it's still a very good track. Fantastic visuals, fantastic tracks, and the characters and Mii suits are amazing. Crazy how this DLC had a rough start and ended as the peak Mario Kart.

It’s Mario kart. We don’t want captain falcon. Becoming Nintendo cart we’ll lose fan favorites like Birdo, Waluigi. Still missing Dixie Kong, DK JR, Nabbit, Hammer bro with the other bros as alternate skins.

good point, but they don’t need to make it a complete crossover game. they can just add a few crossovers like in the original 8 DLC

5:25 I'd argue that MK8 is at least better than prominite fan mods such as CTGP 7 and CTGP nitro but maybe just maybe better than the legendary CTGP R

I would have rather gotten DK Jr. from Tour than Peachette, who asked for Peachette? Especially since he's the one character from the original game on SNES that's still not in the current roster, and has a way more cool and unique gimmick to him.

i absolutely agree. playing as DK Jr would’ve been cool (and better), but now that i think about it, peachette isn’t the worst pick they could’ve gone for. hopefully the next Mario Kart brings back ALL characters, including the ones from tour.

Maybe in the next Mario Kart, DK Jr will make an appearance and yeah, it would be a HUGE step up from Peachette. But I’m happy for the characters we got. It still boggles my mind that it took THIS long just to get Diddy

Its intresting too see how nintendo both tries to woo wii and 3ds fans at the same time. As an example the 3 first wii retro tracks in BCP where also retros on the 3ds. It goes to show how impactfull mario kart wii and mario kart 7 where

I think the only character left in tour that I would have liked to see is King Bob-om, the others don’t interest me. As for tracks I would have loved toad factory and Luigi’s mansion. Overall I’m more impressed than I thought I would be considering we didn’t expect to get new characters at all and I really can’t complain. Great job Nintendo!

to be fair though, wii DID get shafted pretty hard at 8's release on the wii u, so it's no wonder why they brought so many Wii tracks into the BCP. but good point.
