This video investigates the directional properties of the Waveform Quadmini Antenna, prompted by viewer inquiries. We conducted a series of tests, measuring RSRQ, RSRP, and SINR values while pointing the antenna directly at the cell phone tower, as well as from the back and sides. Additionally, we performed speed tests at each orientation. To gain further insight, we contacted Waveform, and their team conducted their own tests. We will present the combined findings in this video.

What speeds were you getting without it

I live pretty close to the tower. Without the antenna if I’m using the invisagig modem I get very similar speeds, but the invisagig comes with good antennas out of the box. I do see a dip if using a stock T-Mobile gateway ballpark 150Mbps down 20Mbps up on a good day.

I got one, my experience is like's Joe. If it's turned certain directions there is no improvement over the normal antennas. Also, the improvement was less then expected. The really weird thing is I will get latency spikes on unloaded latency in the 500ms range in which gives the loaded over a couple seconds. Lastly, I wish they would give you a lower gauge wire for the inside. That high gauge, high insulated wire, pushes my modem over and is a pain.

How far away from the tower are you? Are you trying to use this in the best location possible or are you just using it in a convenient location inside your home? I tried to recreate the problem Joe was having and for me personally I didn’t see much difference regardless of how the antenna was positioned. I was using it in an optimum location and I do have good line of sight with my tower though.

I just returned mine. Didn’t work for me. Slower download speeds and slower upload speeds.

May sound stupid but did you make sure you have the antenna connections hooked up right… Meaning the correct order? Sucks it didn’t work for you. It’s been a beast for me.
