After weeks of issues with both antennas, I figured out that crossing the number 2 and and 3 cable at the gateway finally got me good results. The rest of the time, the signal reception was worse.
Yep, you get all the mounting options with the antenna. The kit gives you the window entry cable, 10 feet of SMA cable, and the U.FL pigtail adapters and a J Pole if you choose the kit with it.
Looking directly at the front of the invisagig where the LEDs are starting on the left side and working your way around to the right it goes: 2 - left side,4 back left,1 back right ,3 right side.
I just got mine. No where in the instructions does it say what band should be connected to which antenna port. Thank you for covering that in your video. Antenna 1=LTE M, Antenna 2= MIMO 1, Antenna 3=5GNRP , Antenna 4=LTE D
You’re welcome, just note that the included setup in the video is for the sagemcom fast 5688w gateway from T-Mobile if you are using a different gateway then I would look at waveforms instructions on there website for other gateways. Hint: it uses the same config as the larger 4x4 MIMO antenna. Thanks for watching!
@@helphq yes that what I have . Thanks for the reply. I should note getting the U.FL connectors connected was a challenge. But spending them a little with tweezers did the trick.
They say this isn't directional, but I noticed that if your antenna is pointing the wrong direction, the signal is just not great. Turning it around sent the speed up dramatically. This could make a difference in window mounting.
Waiting for mine . Any minute now. We dont have near the speeds you have. I played COD with 2 bars and a 180 ping last night. :) I was running through walls.
Yes you can use this with ATT Internet Air. You will need to disassemble the gateway to hook it up. Installation guide is here: www.waveform.com/a/b/guides/hotspots/att-5g-gateway-cgw450
Sorry for the delay I reached out to my contact at waveform because I didn’t want to provide you with bad information. They said: Quadmini will still work, you will just use ports 1 and 2 or 3 and 4. That being said they recommended the 2x2 lpda for your situation. You can view that here: www.waveform.com/products/mimo-log-periodic-hotspot-external-antennas I hope this helps!
Very disappointed didnt do anything in my house and even though i bought a complete package incluy the window pass thru which they didnt include so had to return the piece of crap!
For reference... the Invisagig is $599.00 USD. Starting to realize Tmobile Internet is absolute garbage. You get de-prioritized and kicked off, nothing but issues. Just a money sink.
Well I think that the only way you’re going to know if it helps is to actually test it. The use case is going to be different for each person. What works for me may not work for you and visa versa. Waveform accepts returns if for whatever reason it doesn’t work out for you.
Well I can see where your frustrations are coming from, but I’d argue long term the invisagig will pay for itself with the monthly savings from TMHI compared to say Xfinity. I’ve never been kicked off or deprioritized that I’ve noticed even with the data cap and we exceed it every month. I’ve never been charged for going over either. Nonetheless our experiences clearly differ and that’s okay. Have you tried any of the other companies in the 5G internet category? ATT is usually running some sort of deal.
