At one time ( a few years ago) 8 gig of RAM seemed pretty good. That was then. Even 16 fights with some of todays programs. I personally have no idea how you are doing much of anything with 8. I am not dissing on you. It is just the way it is now. I feel like 16 is about a minimum if you want to do much at all with few problems. If we want great samples, then they are going to be BIG. Ram is priced low right now. Get the ram and just move on. I recently had to do the same thing and it really is worth doing. Many of the problems and glitches just go away at that point. I think the "if you are looking for functionality don't get this" is an incorrect and harsh statement. "If you have VERY little ram, that could cause issues with this program" might be more precise. The functionality IS there, you just can't be under powered to use it well. Good luck.

@@Synsizer rough things is... You can't upgrade the RAM on a 2015 MacBook pro. It comes in either 8 or 16, and if you didn't get 16 back when you purchased it, you're out of luck. I think it's because the RAM is soldered in. Makes it a lot more of a pain as you can't just purchase it, you have to go in and operate on the dang thing smh lol
