I'm in Los Angels - can I just put mine in a pot once I remove the wax and leave it outside? I have a bulb I planted (non wax covered) years ago and it blooms every year and I never do anything to it. It's in the same pot and does well. I've never worked with one from the wax. It's such a glorious flower!
nice video, jealous, i've grown mine for 7 years and still no flower, i get great leaves and even offshoots. if i cut all current leaves do you think it might help/force it. figure i have waited 7 years guess it is time to ask. thank you
it probably needs more sunlight in the summer, the foliage is there to take up the sunlight, so the bulb can grow bigger and make new flowers inside the bulb, it needs a good growing season (6-9months) to develop new flowers again.
