And he goes through the glass like it’s part of the paint job and follows up with ,I like to buff the windows also ,oh yeah you can definitely see the wax on the windows !
Good video bud 👍 Was curious how this little buffer would hold up. I used to detail professionally. As someone suggested, keep the extension cord over your shoulder. Besides that we used buffers like this for waxing only. Instead of pouring the wax on the car, make a spiral on your pad and then dab on roof, hood, trunk, door panels etc. Saves on the wax and goes a lot quicker. Bonus points for doing the windows 👌 Don't listen to the haters and enjoy.
Informative but the fact the buffing cloth was super dirty after suggests that the car was still heavily contaminated which most likely created more swirl marks.
Just a heads up you don't want to put too much pressure on the buffer I noticed when you did the hood you looked like you were pushing down too hard but when doing the sides it looked perfect. The problems you run into when using too much pressure is the pad stops spinning which you don't want plus you can accidentally push any dirt it picks up along the way deeper into the paint which you don't want to do
Wow this was power buffing for dummies at it's finest. I was stupid now I graduated to dummie. Yaaaaay. Great video. But....Don't forget to smile in your videos.
New User. A good beginners guide for me. Simple and easy to follow. Comments from the other followers are also helpful in providing additional tips. Thanks everyone.
Hey Daniel, I also use a similar buffer to remove the wax after I apply Maguire's Carnauba wax by hand. It definitely cuts the time and I do get a more brilliant shine WITHOUT swirl marks than removing the wax by hand. The key is using a fine buffer pad and wiping the vehicle afterwards by hand using a finishing cloth. I also recommend using Black Magic tire gel to give the tires a deep, wet shine and making the entire vehicle 'pop' . That has been my own personal experience and I receive many compliments on my vehicle.
Maguires is the best stuff for your car, It costs a little more but it’s worth it. I also use Mothers Back To Black on all black trim. Make it all look clean and new. Sometimes just the smallest things make the car stand out.
I like how he says with the buffer he waxes the car in 15 minutes but when he snaps his fingers to show the completed car it's hours later and dark outside lol
I mean it is funny however the time he started to record and get the right take for the intro may have set the whole video close to dusk. I give it all a thumbs up, just another noob novice using the internet for learning random stuff
@@larrygaskins23 you don't pour wax directly on paint under any circumstance and as dirty as the pad was when the clown got done all he did was add scratches and swirl marks, BTW I detail for a living and NOT one thing in this video was done correctly.
Great video! I have a buffer similar to this and wanted to know Can you compound and polish with this buffer as well? I also noticed the sun was setting. Is better to do this at night to avoid issues from the heat or the sun?
A Good idea is To Put The Cord Over Your Shoulder When Using the Buffer Don't let it Rub Against The Paint!! I Rather Stick With A DA polisher instead!! But good video.
Well, at least he is out there. I see lots of people going to the drive thru car wash. I go to the drive thru as well. Think I'll try the hand wash and wax machine too.
I was waiting on the finished job. You went from waxing the car to changing the bonnet and throwing them in the washing machine. Where is the shiny car?
Clay bar beforehand next time for sure if you haven’t and check the surface to make sure it’s clean. You don’t always need to re wash after claying if you’re going to polish afterwards but as for you wash after claying if you’re sealing it afterwards with wax. Other words keep doing you.
Those buffers can scratch your finish as well. I recommend waxing by hand using an applicator pad after washing the car and drying it completely. Judging from the pad you probably installed more swirls as it got dirty.
I prefer the rub on wax myself. The spray on is ok between washes if you want to be through but it’s no substitute for a good wax job a couple times a year.
Thanks for the video Dan! How did you like using that buffer? I have a similar one but I haven't been able to use it yet. Keep up the videos my friend! They are very helpful! Cheers!
Robert Jack If you’re just trying to remove scratches I wouldn’t use the buffer, for that you will want some rubbing compound (I like scratch doctor myself) and then just wipe them off with a rag. I have a video for that as well. It won’t work with deep metal scratches but if you just happened to bump into something you shouldn’t have (like I did) and got light scratches it will remove them and you wouldn’t even know they were there in the first place. Here’s a link to that video. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-naCvpgMlV_c.html
Daniel's Car Talk Channel yea I have light micro scratches. Not like deep ones. So I hope this buffer will work to remove some with meguiars scratch remover
Also too much wax put few drops on the pad you don’t need to keep going over the area also don’t need to wax top to bottom cars clean. Don’t let the cord hit the car put it over your shoulder
don’t do what he did put ur wax on the buffer not the car do in small sections add the wax then remove with a soft cloth put the lead over your shoulder to stop it from hitting the car definitely his first time using a buffing machine
All these people telling you what to do. You can't hurt the paint if you keep it moving. Tell them to go make some videos. You did a good job, and you're a straight up nice young man.
Thank you, and yah the negative comments for the most part I just ignore them. I do hate comment videos every now and then but why give them the satisfaction?
I upgraded from a cheap princess auto buffer/polisher to the dewalt after breaking the handle off. ru-vid.comUgkxfzbDkCRyv3CFXnLZI4APZtRRuG2uRmP2 The dewalt is beyond rugged! It's super comfortable to use and the "D" handle has many options for holding onto it if you are working in weird positions. The electronic speed control is precise and it has a nice variable speed trigger for slow ramp up.I have upgraded to the 3m quick change setup and been using it for 3 years for reconditioning gel coat on boats. It's hard work for any machine and I've had no issues. If you need a machine that can put in serious work, this is the one you want. If you want to light buffing, on your car, this is not the machine for you. It's easy to control but you can get yourself in trouble very quickly if you don't know what you are doing.
🤣 dude, put yourself in our shoes like commmme on. You show us the finish of it in the COMPLETE DARKNESS like who does that??? Couldn’t see the finished work so all of that was pointless
There are so many things wrong with this video. Like at least a clay bar or wash it 3 times thoroughly. If anything, this guy caused swirl warks since he didn't wash properly. so much dirt on the cloth :(
don't worry about anything, after all, that's his girlfriends car...lol btw today I was thinking of cleaning n polishing my car but forgot that my polishers pad cloths are dirty..hehehe
It’s obvious you know nothing about polishing cars, as a professional car detailer i beg you to please watch the way it should be done for god sake, anyone watching this please disregard this guys technique or lack of it and watch a professional
Hey bro quick question can u use compound with the power buffer or u need another tool? i was gonna used that tool for my car but i notices some swirls on the paint so im not sure if im doinf it right or iam using the wrong tool
@@brailosky15 you can compound with a machine, but start slow with a compound not too abrasive. Use side. To side motion not going around in circles. Once you have completed a few passes stop. Use a microfiber cloth wipe over and use a light to shine on the paint and check if the swirl marks are gone. If still present do another pass with more pressure. Stop and check again. There are some brilliant detailers on RU-vid I recommend you watch Ammo Car Detailer
