In kindergarten I got a whoopin for telling my teacher that " I don't toe the mark and I don't walk the line". Waylon Jennings was stronger than superman in my eyes.
I grew up in Newfoundland, Canada, with the last name Jennings. I also grew up with Waylon Jennings in two ways. My parents played his records all the time and when my youngest brother was born, we all agreed to name him Waylon. He says that his name has opened many doors for him. Listening to Whey brings back many happy memories. Thank you for this. My Dad passed in December at the age of 85, just realized that him and Waylon were the same age.
Waylon's part of my life every day that I have say so about it... We stained a set of oak cabinets together just yesterday. Today he said Hoss type my name in that search bar up yonder, I wanna show ya sumn. Whey I don't think anyone could've put together a better tribute to the man. Waylon was and still is a rock star I have all his albums and love it all. Waylon Jennings, J. Cash and Hank Sr are my favorite Country music artists of all time.
I have been a Waylon fan since 1978 that's when my daddy and momma listen to Waylon and Cash and Willy... But I feel in love with Waylon when I watch and listen to him on The Dukes of Hazzard... As I got older I learn what a great writer he was and I loved the Outlaw music . I started watching Whey on RU-vid at the first of 2019 and I have watch him and his beautiful family grow.... Whey we love you and Thank you for doing this.

He did it his way, today country music artist's of today owe alot, had Waylon not kicking the doors down so many people wouldn't have the artist wouldn't have the freedom to do their own style of music. Waylon left too early ! I had just discovered the country music when he disappeared. It wasn't part of my culture since i'm French. But thanks to music of Waylon, Willie, Johnny, Kris (The Highwaymen) life is more bearable. It's does good to the soul. I love his powerful, warm voice (with a certain fragility in the ballads). There are some of these singers who make me feel like I'm building an invisible bridge between earth and sky with their voices. And Waylon is part of it with Roy Orbison, John Denver, Elvis (for me). What a wonderful way to celebrate Waylon Jennings...85 years young, 20 years gone...I got to see him in concert one time...Over 44 years ago....old Outlaws never die, they leave lasting legends, children and grandchildren that look and sound like them, and they ride off into the sunset

My very 1st live gig ever fronting my real country band was the night Waylon was in concert across town. I had never seen him live and wanted too really bad. We played several of his songs. And even though i missed his concert. I couldn't help but think while i was singing. That Waylon probably would have been glad i was playing real country music to others, instead of being at his concert. THE OUTLAW KING FOREVER !!!
Awesome to see Waylon's spirit and music persevering after all these years. Saw him about 24 times in concert over the years and he never disappointed. Miss ya Hoss. Love this tribute!!!!!!
The first song, Missing You, gave me chills! The way Whey sang it was SO good! I'm sure Ole Waylon felt this one all the way in heaven! Great way to honor our legend. ❤
