The great thing about the Montreal Jazz Festival is that a lot of it was video recorded. I was in attendance for this one. First row mezzanine floor and it was a hell of a show!!!!
Wow. What a moving performance. What a privilege to watch people at the top of their game. I was lucky enough to see Shorter twice over the past 30 years. He is certainly an idol of mine and a substantial man in many ways. A guiding light in music, holding the torch for us all since the passing of so many great names in music. Names he played with. I wish him such a long life.
