Part of CMLC’s 15-year anniversary celebrations, Ways of Working is an in-person story series that takes viewers inside the organization to learn first-hand from its team members what makes CMLC tick and why its downtown redevelopment efforts have been so successful.
Through nine videos, we’ll show Calgarians how CMLC’s diverse people and myriad of moving parts complement one another and empower the organization to deliver on its bold city-building mandate.
In the third video in our Ways of Working series, Joanna Pesta and Anna Lake, members of the marketing and community engagement team, share how they bring a sense of place and a spirit of community to Calgary’s east end through placemaking, programming and place branding.
Alongside the rest of the marketing, communications and community engagement experts at CMLC, Anna and Joanna plan and execute hundreds of unique and attention-grabbing initiatives throughout the Rivers District every year, and maintain well-articulated place brands in East Village and The Culture + Entertainment District that tell a compelling story of the areas as great places to live, work, play, learn, create and recreate.
