there are many companies out there that do not impress me but so many products from Wazoo gear have caught my eye this is one of those videos that I have been waiting for years to do
Carrying a knife without a way to maintain the blade is like carrying a single shot firearm with one bullet. A maintained blade is always loaded. Glad to see you making videos again.
Obviously you have never been in a hand to hand combat situation. In my 34 years in the Marines, I have been in a few. When I speak of maintaining a blade, I do not mean it to cut up a bunch of potatoes. I mean it to take a life to save your life, or others. Go back to your video games and act life you actually make a difference, puke. @@gregkis
Great to see you out in the field again friend. Field maintenance and tool hygiene is an all too often overlooked aspect of “bushcraft”, glad to see you cover it. And it’s an interesting tool. I will definitely look it up.
Great to see you back Will! We'll have to see you out in the woods again this winter. Haven't seen ya since we camped at AEP years ago and you fixed up my LT Wright Genesis that Chris butchered up. ;-) All good though its still a great knife. Glad to see Chris back too.
Very cool stone , I might have to get one then learn how to use it correctly. I have watched your old video long time ago from when you were sitting at a table in Chris's garage .
Hey Brother. Good to see you. I have bought several things from Wazoo. From multiple of their "Survival" bracelets (no longer available), their "Firecraft" necklace (No longer available), their "Cache Beanie", among other things. They are an awesome American company that I keep track of for new items. I already carry a Dan's whetstone attached to my belt knife sheath or I would've already bought the Viking necklace. See you in the next video.
Not to be a dick but stropping is when you use leather to remove burrs from a blade to make it shaving sharp. My grandfather had a razor strop made of leather he had hung on the wall in the bathroom to make sure the straight razor he used to shave was absolutely sharp... yes he used a straight razor to shave yes I'm an old guy Thanks for the video! Thinking about getting one these stones for SHTF purposes to keep blades sharp
@@WilliamMyersmantisoutdoors I'm getting one of these today I have a worksharp field sharpener that works very well but is very bulky compared to the whetstone necklace.
