WC3 - Huya Super League - Grand Final: [UD] Happy vs. Infi [HU] 

I've seen those kind of macro games from infi before. But it doesn't happen often. Th000 did some sick macro games against undead in the past too. But I agree, this probably is the most impressive demonstration.

You're so right. So many people tend to think that it is an already seen tank strategy which is not. Happy himself was surprised by that new strat implemented by Infi. Despite the fact I watched plenty of games over the years, I never seen that "blend" before and I've been amazed by Infi's efforts for preparing this game. Means that pro players are still exploring game's possibilities which is awesome. Great display of professionalism right there. Nonetheless, Happy is a very smart and skilled player so I bet he's already studied the replays for finding out a proper counter to it

@@liretsimon6675 To pull of a a series like this, you need to have the form of your life. im not sure that infi can play like this ever again, but at least not reliably. while happy can do what he does 99,9% of the time.

ya, i remember at that period , people are impressed by sky tower rush strategy, but not amused n feeling sneaky ,dirty play by infi tower mass expension. but i think thats the most clever thing have done by infi , because he knew how to maximize the human advantages n increase the winning rates, ignored all the unneccesary blame. thats the sensible decision for a pro players to make in their career:exploring n maximizing all the advantages, elements in the game to win the game.

lol this is the TRUE world of warcraft you rpg gamers have yet to put you micro-managing hands on this and quite personally giving up playing has given back 1000's of hours in life

It's like high level chess or something, both players know the likely avenues the game is going to take, and the places they can push to get small advantages and the odds of that. Etc. Skill level has to be very high to even play the game at the edges like that.

Absolutely incredible, almost miraculous play, I am stunned by the level of skill of infi. I still can't believe what I saw....

@@skvision7510 By the way, this matchup is heavily favored for undead, moreso than any other matchup in warcraft 3, statistically speaking, which makes this match even more impressive vs any other esports game....

In starcraft broodwar, each race is literally balanced to 33.32%, 33.33%, 33.34% winrate against every other. Not so in warcraft 3. Undead vs human is the most unbalanced matchup in the game, by about 11-16% favoring undead depending on what level you're at. Not cool that blizzard won't fix this, but cool that infi won even with these poor odds.......

@@UXSpecialist i haven’t played wc3 ladder in ages. Do orc v. UD games favor melee heavy orc? Also, is the remastered version worth picking up? It seems to be the only option to get back into wc3.

Infi stopped playing human because they’re so weak/hard to win with, and recently stopped playing Warcraft 3 completely because the balance is so bad

It’s just not fun or fair anymore with how weak human is……

the main is even harder to kill than the expansion, he just has no time for that.. and unlike some other humans, Infi did build towers in the main, too.

Happy made the overview of those games. He said he had to choose where to go main or exp by coin flip that is 50/50. And 2 times he'd chose wrong.

? That's like every infi game from 2009. The only difference is that nowadays you build less towers and add knights instead of gryphons. After people figured out how to beat 3 workshop tanks Sky and Infi instantly swapped into 2 workshop + blizzard counterattacks. That was like in 2008-2010 I don't remember exactly. Old school Infi/Sky fans remember.

Happy himself on his own stream said that tanks are fine and he has more issue with other buffs human has received. He just got rekt by tanks in a pro game for thousands of dollars, and he thinks they're fine.

tanks need more attack damage and speed, they also need attack land units also.

u know how quickly water elementals + AM kill ghouls? It would be very difficulty for Happy. Ghouls have 2 less armor and almost 100hp less than footmen, so, tier 1 footmen > tier 1 ghouls. I'd like to see Happy try it to keep Infi honest with the tier 1 fexpo but ghoul rush isn't seen often in pro-level.

ghoul strats has been cracked since 2006. It won't do the trick against veteran human like infi

I mean happy can also dl ghoul expand early game to have a big advantage but he don’t want change his fiend dk strat.theres way to defeat infi.

Siege is a strong human ability and it will stay like that. Happy could have won this still but infi played amazingly. Most hu players couldnt pull this off. Including myself..

@@kaelansong3521 yeah yeah, but why is infi using tanks? as human vs UD, you have to expo, or you lose. everyone knows that. infi is amazing micro and macro. usually when he plays 120, he loses most games. if infi doesn't play tanks he simply loses the game. you can cry all you want about it, he played the game within the rules. if he didn't use tanks, all he can do is build 10 towers at the expo and hope he can hold on. at least like this we get a dynamic game where there is much more going on

They were nerfed.. that is the reason why tanks went out of fashion.. and they take more food too

@@stupidreligionz it's hard to balance a unit that can literally surrounded by workers and killed (minus NE without another unit with an attack). they could make it cost more food, or give thrice the xp when killed, but it seems like almost any nerf would turn them into never use units.

@@stupidreligionz haha you dumb. look at the games where tanks are used, they go straight for undefended bases or expansion and those place always have workers on mine which can easily leave mine and surround tank if spotted before it's in attack range and it literally can't fight back once surrounded without help. OBVIOUSLY if your whole army is with the tank or the defending player tp's their whole army to defend against the tanks it's another story. but tanks are nearly always alone fighting undefended bases/expansions. don't be so vapid. the tank has a built-in weakness of having zero attack against units on the ground making it completely vulnerable to surrounds from ANYTHING including workers which no other unit fears in the game. that MUST be considered beyond the tank having siege damage and crazy good health/armor. Demanding that blizz nerf tanks to be unplayable is even WORSE balance, fool.
