MERRY CHRISTMAS, EVERYONE!
Here are late-night commercials and a sign-off from WCBS-TV New York on Christmas night in 1992 (so it's technically the 26th). Aired during "An American Christmas Carol" on The Late Show.

1988 and 1991(?): National anthem then rushed announcement then Test Pattern (1988 had kHz tone) Boxing Day 1992: Ads then rushed announcement then Test Pattern (still the ~50 years old one) with 400hz tone Meanwhile in Italy they've moved to a closedown per month between 0330 and 0600 or 0700 and test pattern has both 400hz and 1000hz

The WCBS sign-off announcer was Wally King.

You mean like the white uppercase k was beside the red check mark as an uppercase v and the white uppercase y was next to the white uppercase letters k, v, and l except the letter v is a red check mark and beside the white news number 11 in a red square while they’re under the rainbow peacock from NBC and on the white words the valley’s choice for local news! On the KVLY sign off in January 21 2009 just like WDAZ?
