I really don't like the way they widened the Spectrum for Autistic people who don't have any major symptoms and I get labeled so easy because they like to stare at twinkle lights for longer than most people.

I have only been diagnosed with ASD but have a lot of ADHD traits, and I find that creating a schedule can actually be really relaxing and helpful in itself, even if I don’t manage to follow it

I also am suspected undiagnosed autistic. It’s very noticeable and part of my struggles, so it’s not “oh I have one little thing here and another here”. No there are very strong indications and I’ve researched a fair amount. My autistic friend also says they’d be surprised if I wasn’t autistic because I check off a lot of symptoms in their eyes as well I’m terrified as coming across as wanting to be trendy because that’s not my intention at all, so excuse my profuse reasoning- just wanted to say I highly relate and can understand where you’re coming from, and that you’re doing great🫶🫶

I had a slight suspicion ever since I first heard about someone I used to be friends with being diagnosed with autism a couple of years ago and realised I had a lot of similar traits to him. Then about a year or 2 ago, another friend was told he could have autism which led him to getting a self referral form to a diagnosis and that's when I started researching for months and realised so many things in my life made sense when I compared them to autistic traits. Now, I've finally finished filling in the referral form after a year of research and self reflection and hoping I can be seen for a diagnosis. I hate that people are now thinking it's just a trend because of tiktoks and stuff or accusing people of faking when it's such a struggle with your identity and everyday life. But I'm glad that the information is more easily accessible now so people us are able to realise who we are. I don't really know what my point was, but I can definitely relate and related to some of the things Noah said in this video. Like the needing to be organised or I'll forget everything and lose the structure in my life.

@@oxfordisacoyote Depends on the joke. There are great jokes about being a bottom and then there are "jokes" about bottoms being "the woman/lesser partner". There's a difference. It's still important information for people to know. I'm a bottom, I've dated another bottom, it didn't really work. It probably wouldn't work out with a true vers guy either, because I don't like to top. Sexual preferences are important to openly and honestly discuss.

It does come with the same biases that they try to assign to us individually....but honestly, I think that's why we should talk about it more. To break the stereotypical assumptions that they make.

Agreed. I think there's still some value in stating what kind of sex you like. Still, it's somewhat problematic when you reduce yourself or others to sexual behavior and whatever gendered signifiers get attached to it. As a side who is black, the amount of weird gender shit projected onto me when I say I'm not tryna do all that (or just in general tbh) is wild.
