That is a very cool fact, but you are also an outlier. Jordan Peterson is exclusively talking about trans people. And he never said he would misgender trans people (unless he did I'm not sure). But he said he would not go by what the new law would say, which would basically limit free speech, with any mistakes you make might send you to jail. I believe he has said he would call his students by their preferred pronoun, if they politely asked him to. He just simply doesn't want any speech besides maybe threats or slander, to be a criminal offense, but he wants to allow even the rudest people out there, to speak their mind. Under that new law anything you could say could offend someone, even an innocent mistake, or a simple differing opinion. Also Jordan Peterson isn't a transphobe. He doesn't dislike them, but actually gives them respect by using their pronouns or being willing to politely discuss with them. He is not prejudiced against them, but simply puzzled by the rise in this phenomena, and trying to think up psychological ideas to explain it. Even if gender dysphoria is a mental disorder (not saying it is), I believe people with any mental disorder (OCD, ASD, SAD) that causes suffering, deserves respect, and also help, in the form of therapy.

And people really be defending him. Like he purposely deadnames people for example Elliot Page and I think there was an interview with some reporters where he tried to justify why it is wrong for an individual to transition as he finds it "disruptive" to society. His whole philosophy is whatever I say is right whatever you say is wrong. Let's not mention all the shitty podcast he's been doing or appearing in RU-vid shorts and encouraging men, young men especially to be disrespectful and creepy to woman and indoctrinate his weird opinions on them.

@@xXxjudasxXxmorningstarxXx imagine actually telling someone they can't enjoy something. people who go too far with "activism" like this and gatekeep art are further alienating and harming the lgbt+ community. what good does it do to go around getting mad at people for enjoying harry potter and not actually working against anti-trans bills or funding proper counseling and therapy for trans kids. many trans people have even said that harry potter saved their life before they transitioned and helped get them through the awful and lonely moments in their life. are you gonna tell them to disown that and that their feelings are no longer valid? no artwork is perfect nor is any artist entirely good or perfect. jk is far from that, but she's not a literal nazi or a supremacist. she is ignorant and bigoted and desperately needs to learn some empathy for people outside of herself and her talking points, but that doesn't mean we just erase her from history. if that was the benchmark, i guarantee you we would have almost zero things to read or watch or enjoy. you don't have to read books you don't like, but don't tell someone they can't because you don't.

I agree that you shouldn't buy Harry Potter books and merch nowadays (if somebody really wants to read the books, they should just borrow them or find another way eithout having to spend money on it) but you forget that many people were into Harry Potter before JK Rowling expressed her transphobic views. You cannot expect them to not enjoying the series.
