Looking at it now it only took her 6 years to knock a big company like intel over and is now threatening to do the same to NVIDIA another big company if they don't stop dragging their feet because Intel has ben doing it and now look at them now lol
Ye bro I just got a ryzen 7 3700x with a 5700xt. I’m going to build it today and hopefully it’s no problems and up to standards. God bless you bro stay safe. And p.s. I didn’t get the new cpus and gpus because I can just wait because my MOB is 4th gen ready.
@@ML-yn9yu Yes she do .... RNDA 2 is not faster maybe in a lot of games , more like the same Performance but really prices much better from AMD RNDA 2 like the 3000 series and she is Price Performance Winner this year with CPU and GPU .
I did. I made many comments on how AMD was going to take over gaming and I got laughed at and blocked by many of the top tech channels. My channel was shut down by people on those channels who didn't like the facts I stated about AMD products.
i knew she was good but this blew away all my expectation even after ryzen already launched and they had newfound success. the fireworks kept on coming, this is leadership as good as Jerry Sanders himself. as for taking over gaming, yes, we knew they were big in SoCs for consoles, (hell i even knew the history of Lisa being on a team that designed the cell processor for the PS3) but they weren't really the big margin hitters AMD needed to get up to speed again.
***** Storm, quotha! A storm cloud is already looming over Intel; their situation is dire and steadfast. Intel is not moving foreword like people think they are; they are stagnate. Their partnerships are readily drying up and shrinking. Intel is in business to sustain a profit. *Intel IS NOT* making *revolutionary* innovations *like AMD*; hence, nobody follows Intel!
@@husleman To be honest when it comes to price-to-Performance and not the highest performance possible when not caring about budget, even the current Navi gpu's beat RTX 2000. If we see improvement like with cpu's from zen+ to Zen 2, Big Navi will be insane.
@@falkfink from that perspective, i do agree; sadly, it comes down to the local market price, some country sell Radeon products in higher price than its Nvidia equivalent.
@@GewelReal i can't believe my $1500 laptop is now worth $600 either. but, i guess that's what would have happened if technology advanced properly either way. edit: i just realized while reading through to understand a reply how confusing this probably sounds. I meant that the chip irself was listed for less than $300 but there's other stuff in the laptop like the screen and the battery
One of the Best moments happened in tech world: "Lisa Su was appointed as AMD's CEO". RU-vid: let's recommend everyone the historic moment of tech world.
This is how a CEO is supposed to be. A person who is knowledgable about the business. She is an engineer before and knows what's sensible. This should be an example for all the other companies to appoint people who are more competent and knowledgeable in the field. Not some narcissistic no good Management idiots
Completely agree. Having somebody who really understands how the products work as a CEO will always be better than somebody who is only interested in the financial gains.
Lmao, Intel sucks, amd for the win, 3200g, 3400g, 3100, 3300X, 3600, 3700x, 3900X, and threadripper + Epyc got them there. (Notable mentions, 1st and 2nd gen Ryzen)
@@masterv6679 Hmm... I would actually rethink that if I were you. Except one or two things that fall into a very small niche of work, Amd gpu's can do everything Nvidia gpu's can. Sorry, your argument is invalid. Though I am waiting for you to do a quick google search so that you can comeback at me which you would because people like you don't really like to appriciate variety of good products that people can buy.
@@bilalbzaka5152 Thing is great as AMD GPUs are, the lack of CUDA support means I am stuck with NVIDIA till they decide to make it open-source. Or someone comes up with better deep learning accelerator software and people code libraries for them.
@@user-nq6ln1wv8b actually since ryzen appeared they were again a serious competition for Intel, since they basically destroyed Intel cpus in multi-task performance, had decent gaming performance, and moreover were way cheaper than Intel's offering (4core i7 = pure scam). They were completely left behind by Nvidia, though. The RX 6000s still have some catching up to do (mostly on Ray tracing and DLSS) but are actually able to fight Nvidia. The 6800XT is offering pretty much the same number of FPS for 50$ less as the 3080, the 6800 could actually be a descent rival for the 3070, if it was cheaper. The 3090 still has the lead over the 6900XT, but is it really worth 500$ more? In my opinion, not really. Outside of gaming, Nvidia is still far ahead of AMD, though
@@gizConAsh intel made us got stuck in 4cores for way too long, nvidia brought us good products(sometimes the price was higher asf, but still good products with really great improvments over the last generation)
And now 6 years later, AMD is killing it. Under Intel, we'd be paying $400 for quad core cpu's still. Also this might be the first time I go for an AMD gpu after over 13 years sticking with NVIDIA. I hope AMD learns from NVIDIA's mistakes after that extremely botched RTX 30 series "launch"
Nvidia doesn’t care about their consumers at all. Good to see Lisa does her homework and figured out a way to do better than them. In any retail business, consumer is king.
welp, some stores are reporting that the 6000 series is also having problems with filling up the shelves. I think all the factories just got crapped on this year since they're pretty low on the priorities list when it comes to covid reopening
Intel is like Nokia, They thought they already monopoly market and have nothing to worry about their competitor, but then their competitor launch a new innovation with friendly cost and kill them for good.
@@sepheul but the tests shown were done with smart memory access and rage mode on, it doesn't have DLSS, NVENC, access to nvidia broadcast, the 5000 series drivers are known to be terrible, less VRAM, and the tests were done by amd themselves, not someone like say linus or gamers nexus, so uhhhhh yeahhh.....
@@saier1414 Still for people who wnat the best of the best cpus with high frames, like esports players, they should look at amd builds as those new cpus are beating intel a lot and new gpus can take advantage of them too and who knows how future drivers and bios will push that
We should also give credit to Rory the previous CEO for the semi custom business which got the Consoles, and general stabilizing the financial situation and focusing the company on Zen. Jim Keller for being a good lead engineer. And Dr. Su did amazing leading the company with it's new products and pushing for fast progress in each generation so Intel keeps getting kicked even when they're down. The train can't stop for anything.
@@Dimon12321 They weren't exactly fighting. Merely holding their position or retreating. Now they are actually doing something. They have killed intel, and now they have taken aim at nvidia. Soon the war will be over
Never have I seen a CEO change the entire face of an industry in a few short years and beat their competition who's been leading for almost 20 years. Much respect!
I must say, Dr. Su deserves every bit of credit she's receiving. A fantastic CEO who turned a company around from near bankruptcy to an Intel ass-kicking machine.
There are CEOs that just want to get their bonuses and there are true leaders like her. Hats off to Dr. Lisa Su, every CEO should be as passionate as her.
That's absolutely correct. It is the damn problem in the USA and also the world these days. Girls choose entertainers like Kardashians, Emma Watson etc. as role models instead of people like Lisa Su and ACB.
The world will end soon. Iran and Russia will nuke USA soon so its not worth to buy CPUs and GPUs right now. Better invest your money on how to get out of America and live somewhere safe. Your life is more important than gaming and streaming.
Hail to the Queen! ... In all seriousness, what she achieved in those 6 years is nothing short of astonishing. A comeback story like this is almost unheard of. Well done Lisa. One of the best CEOs worldwide...
This is like a football movie where they are losing bad and then all of a sudden, the coach has a talk with the QB and the game changes.... speaking of which, when is the movie: "Lisa Su: The Death of Team Blue and Team Green" coming out?
I feel like a big reason why there are not a lot of girls in tech is because they have their priorities set elsewhere. Most girls only talk about celebrity crushes or boys (no offense to techie girls, y'all are awesome) and then we ask ourselves why there is such a big gender gap in tech. Having Miley Cyrus or Katy Perry as your role model won't take you anywhere. I deeply respect women like you. You go girl!
@@PiyushBhakat Maybe instead you should question why girls are like that in the first place: because of societal and cultural norms that negatively impact and distort their perceptions and expectations. Thus, instead of merely accepting the status quo and assuming that wanting barbie dolls is a distinct nature of girls, work towards ending the societal pressures that cause those proclivities in the first place.
Seeing this in my recommended videos six years later. AMD must be smiling right now as a whole. They didn't just find a new president, they found a captain to steer this ship straight into the future. Absolutely well done.
She clearly had a vision about where she wanted to see AMD in the next 5 years. And she was successful in transforming that vision in to reality. Without her, Intel would still shoved quad cores down our throats with immense force.
This was the memorable day that, without knowing it, it would begin to become a possibility for me, to actually buy a PC for my university, multimedia production and for play video games, that had more than 4 cores and more power than a GTX 1050. I know that Lisa will probably never read this, but I wish I could thank her since, if it weren't for her great ability, skill and effort, I probably could never have even bought a desktop PC before I had to get a job.
@@manakmishra now she always Nvidias.. it's time for the quantum leap 5 nm generation ahead of us boisss we are witnessing the biggest leaps in computation power and will continue to do so..
@@fatdoi003 Untrue. AMD has somewhere around a third of the CPU market sales. AMD's Ryzen success is also tied to Intel's failure to shrink their node. And compare AMD's efforts to Nvidia. It's been three years and AMD has yet to beat the 1080 Ti. But, they are making the new consoles. She's done great; she's allocated scarce resources well while competing against two larger companies; AMD has released competitive and sometimes superior products during her tenure. She really turned the company around.
@@ajsdfk Go search up amazon or ebay or whatever and look at the most sold products, the top 5 most sold products will be AMD in almost every marketplace. For packaged consumer processors, AMD has upwards of 80% market share right now.
When the revolution started... That sentence right here 5:55 From 2016 to now(2018) we saw a revolution in CPU design first with Zen1 with a scalable architecture with multiple dies. Zen2 is taking things to another level with chiplets, and who knows what will come next...(Lisa does). AMD has truly invented a new way of thinking about CPUs since then.
@@andrewwith9017 How do we know it was HER who deserves that credit, not the engineers? I'm very wary of CEOs waltzing in and taking credit and acting like *they're* the most important part of the company, not the folks that actually do all the work.

Beside zen CPUs , whats the biggest move Amd dr sue made that made them relevent today ???
