@@christopherwhittaker2620 no its def unbelievable. Its unbelievable they pass training. The question is who is training theses people. (in general). Who at the end of the course says you have all passed. Because someone needs to arrest that kunt
I believe this should all be taught in the SIA training but SIA training is a joke, £130, 3-4 days, 3 tests and need 28 out of 40 questions right. No wonder a lot (not all) of security guards are clueless...
@@Rich-ll8ce spot on mate. They get paid crap wages with zero training. I did it myself years ago and we never ever got any training on anything. DJ Audits most is really good at educating security and police and the public regarding our rights. The confrontation is a bonus 😂👍👏
I enjoy (too much sometimes) the way that you back the uneducated into a corner until they phone the Police. Then you say “Aw…you haven’t phoned 999 have you?”.
I don’t think he wants them to phone the police to be fair. And the security guards will always phone police if they are unsure about the law. Just doing their job really. But DJ educated them. That’s what I get from it anyway.
@@christopherwhittaker2620 If they are unsure about the law then they should make every effort to look it up on the official CAA website, which they did not. "Just doing their job" by wasting police time doesn't cut the mustard. The police are there to protect the public not entertain private companies staff who don't know what they're doing. If John Lewis wants to employ people that can't independently think, that's John Lewis' issue. The company should be fined for wasting the public purse.
@@christopherwhittaker2620 Pathetic interpretation! They are not 'just doing their job'! They have left their AOR and gone onto public property to harass a public photographer. And of course spout crap about the 'law' before calling emergency services! Seriously! Typical pathetic do-gooder attitude, and just as ignorant as these minimum wage goons are!
why do you think they hire such dumb unintelligent breeds like these mugabe's they hire them because they are so dumb and unintelligent you think they're gonna be there when a fire happens and they will be able to cope they don't even know or understand their own name in their own language let alone understanding english if there's a fire or an incident it's every man for themselves the dumbest breeds on the planet like the mugabe's don't understand much about anything look at any of the videos on youtube or go and talk to one of 'em see how thick and stupid they are
These people could cope with nothing, but our politicians know that an English citizen would not speak to a fellow Englishman with such disrespect and contempt and so they import these bufoons to humiliate us and render us voiceless
Just a thought?? A FOI request to police areas regarding calls from security companies? And then the same for costings? If there are security companies costing the cops for uneducated staff? Perhaps claim back the cost?
The SWT driver was sound. That's a theme of these videos. HGV drivers seem to be generally polite, professional, friendly, helpful. The security guard with the long hair seemed to be the best of the John Lewis bunch. He was more chilled than the others and pulled his colleague away after your clear and logical explanation of your legal rights.
Can you see an irony in yur words? You used "in fact". Can you prove that this is a fact? Or, like you said, is it possible that you too now don't have the "absolute confidence" in yourself? To make it fact? You'll have to ask "everyone" on earth. Let me know how it goes for you mate! Just can't resist deflating low IQ egos. I mean no harm. Call it an audit.
Where do they get em from? The worst thing is, once they've violated you and shamed the security industry, and humiliatied themselves and their employer, they walk off.
Being a security officer my self, I have took it upon myself to look into all these laws as they do keep changing so I don’t look like a tit when we get a visit. All they had to do was pull there phone out and have a Google, doesn’t take long to educate yourself people. Great audit! Gutted I missed u when u visited the site I work at could have had a keyring 😂
@Advanced Driving totally agree with you, not gonna lie I didn’t Google until I watched the video of my site. So glad I wasn’t their to make a fool of my self. I’m now Educated and now what I can and can’t do. I have this man to thank for that.
The laws haven’t changed for a long time. The inconsistency is peoples knowledge. A lot tend to think their belief is the law. Fair play to you for keeping yourself up to speed though.
@Advanced Driving Training is key in any job. For some reason, security staff are not being taught English laws regarding trespass. @Shaun Wilson, mate, the fact you had to inform yourself shows us the industry is letting you down. A lot of these guys, obviously, have a rather poor grasp of the language and it is blatantly obvious they don't understand the law. The finger of blame points squarely at their employer.
@@Steves_fish you will have to forgive my spelling I am slightly dyslexic , not that arse holes like you give a toss, please think before you pull someone up about their spelling.
@@taffman1 Well i suppose he could always check the land registry before he videos as he does with the CAA permissions but i very much doubt the land registry would be real time unlike drone assist but hey ho what do i know.
Lots of comments making assumptions about where people were born & languages they speak, or do not speak. That is not important. The point of the exercise is, security & ordinary folk are being educated and that is what's really important.
When will security learn that they are security for the site not for the land outside of the site or for the air space above site Unbelievable Great content again man
@@jimbob356 because reasonable people with a degree of social intelligence go into businesses with the sole intent to troll, harass and provoke people in a reaction/confrontation so they can post it on RU-vid for their 15 minutes of fame.
Wonderful to see private security are trying to enforce flight laws? 3ven if they don't know the actual flight laws? Does that not actually result in an attempt to impersonate a law enforcement officer?
Cranfield airfield (airspace )right behind john lewis (airspace ) even john lewis need permission to fly drone over their own property, work on the site and know we have to do that , plus what he is showing is also on all sites he does this us a breach of security
I worked at a John Lewis warehouse in Worcester some yrs ago, security is real tight. During a shift 2 member of staff walk around with hand held scanners and run it up and down you, checking you haven't pinched anything, and end of shift you have to take of some clothes off and walk through an airport scanner. Worst job I ever had.
When we are all flying around in cars in the future some people are still going to think you need to knock on there door and ask permission to fly over there house.
If JL want to protect profit they could start by getting rid of that clown. Their policy of positive discrimination ensures they must employ allsorts from around the world of varying mental capacity. As an ex partner it is embarrassing to say the least.
John Lewis are at fault for not training these fools not to bother members of the public in public That kind of aggressive demanding approach is not acceptable in this day and age in the current climate.
No company or person wants some random guy dressed in inconspicuous clothes inorder to hide themselves asking nonsense questions and has no actual idea about anything that they are filming to start filming their businesses or facilities or employees. Then adding a drone. John Lewis isn’t going to care nor should they because these auditors are only there to get a reaction and cause trouble under the guise of it beinging a lawful activity. This guy and all the auditors that do this stuff are just a public nuisance. The fans of auditors like yourself cheer them on like “wow I can’t believe x company employs these people”. But every other normal person thinks these guys are douche bags which they are. Theirs a million hobbies don’t pick the one that effects blue collar workers.
@@Hangnailer47 - whether “these people” are douche bags or not is moot. No-one going about their lawful business should expect or endure interference from anyone, employees of some company or otherwise. There are many examples of officious people demanding behaviour of others where they have no right or need to do so and unless there are some that demonstrate the rights we have then those rights may disappear. You may not like the law but until it is changed it is the law. I do find some of the interactions somewhat cringey, on both sides, but there’s nothing wrong with what “auditors” are doing when they are polite, unconfrontational and within the law. Private security giving orders to members of the public, however, is not on. There have been examples, if you follow this and other channels, where the organisations have (at least given the appearance of) welcoming the attention and using it as positive PR.
@@portlyoldman dude it’s a pretty clear cut formula. Go to a business that has security, film in front of the property within eyeshot of the security, get a response from them. Obviously they don’t want you or anyone just hanging out infront of their business with a camera filming because it’s weird and nobody does that besides auditors. 99% of the time the guys just say they don’t want to be on camera which who does by a stranger, they don’t want you filming the property because again it’s really odd more than half the time it’s warehouses with nothing going on besides daily work tasks and employees may actually feel uncomfortable or that you’re casing the joint or looking for a specific employee. Some of these confrontations with security seems like boarder line harassment. They aren’t interested in the business at all. This guy shows up to places on a bike so his car can’t be tracked completely covered up and starts filming and gets confronted and answers questions pretty much very vaguely because the questions don’t really matter. He doesn’t care about company or business or brand it just to get a reaction but if you film him he puts a mask on to conceal his identity. It would be really sketchy to anyone. He demands them to have respect for the public but at the same time completely disrespects their requests. The private security of these businesses aren’t going out to the public and demanding thing from of them. When have you heard of a security guard from x company go out to the side walk and demand things. It’s only when you have a camera filming them and the business they say hey can you not do that please. Again these are just to get a reaction and say I can do this and there’s nothing you can do about it haha. It’s just being a nuisance and again everyone besides the people that support these auditors see that. Yes you are lawfully allowed to do this but should you? Is going around to company’s and warehouses where these blue collar workers are working hard hours and probably not getting paid enough and getting them riled up for the kicks of being like I’m allowed to do this there’s nothing you can do about it really something to be proud or happy about? I get filming police and catching them doing shady stuff and violating laws and rights but blue collar workers I think is scummy.
@@Hangnailer47 - I guess I’m the asshole then, cos I enjoy watching it 😳However, having said that, the premise of the videos would disappear completely should the security people be briefed to interact (or even simply not react ?) appropriately.
They probably will be but it’ll take time to filter through wont it. Never done it but I’d assume when you renew you get updated training? Hope so for their sake! Haha
I think it more likely they train to dissuade people flying drones over. Probably as far to say, lie with ignorance about the law because sod all will be done about it.
I work at John Lewis Distribution Centre. I know all of these security guys. Never had any problems with them. We always treat each other with respect. I've got a message to the owner of this channel. There is no need to provoke others to bad behaviors and put them in a bad light just to get a little bit of "fame" on RU-vid.
The guy on the left with the long dreadlocks hair I use to work with him for TSS Security at John Lewis Magna Park 1 and 2 that’s Williams I can’t believe he’s in the video haha 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
The respect you show is unlike most other auditors. I say that because often the auditor draws the attention away from the audit onto his/her self "Yes there are only 2 genders" and away from the audit itself. Your approach on the other hand keeps the focus on the audit and the ignorant/respectful people you interact with. GREAT JOB M8!
I spent a fair bit of time working on this site a few years ago, and the warehouse JDA IT team I worked with here, and at Northampton and Blakelands were absolutely brilliant and lovely people, so it's a shame to see the security guys letting John Lewis down
The security industry really needs to set a minimum iq test for all future prospects time employees BEFORE giving them fancy dress, a radio and a sudden sense of entitlement, that they can self expand whenever they decide to.
You are WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY too polite to ignorant people. When idiots like them walk away and ignore you then come back later and talk to you then you should ignore them. Give what you get.
They need telling that wasting police time is an offence and 999 is for Emergencies Only. Just because they do not understand the law they resort to the usual intimidation tactics. John Lewis need to educate their security staff.
i wonder if all the aircraft that fly over all factories and houses need permission, maybe thats why there are all the delays at airports nowdays, the plane is waiting to take off and the control tower is having to contact every building or site below the flight path to get permission to overfly them it must be exhausting.
18:00 When some stupid person threatens to call the police, one option rather than saying that they are wasting police time, is to up the game a bit, and tell them to do so, but they are just making things worse for themselves and the company as you will sue them for a lot of money, and that the next time you see them will be in court. Then leave them to it as they fight the conflicting demands of orders from on high and fear of legal repercussions..
This is showing how bad the SIA training has got! You have companies starting up to “train” security guards when they now don’t even teach basic law it seems!!
Your response to him asking if someone can fly a drone in your house actually made me laugh out loud... that rarely happens 😅 another great audit mate.. top notch
I worked for General Motors Here in the US I work in a stamping plant and we were right next-door to an assembly plant we had one of the same crossovers and we use the shuttle product back-and-forth
LOL of course it is! The 3 security guards (all black) who ignored the warnings from (white) concert-goers at the Manchester Arena bombing were very cost effective. They got away with it, the security company's contract has been renewed for more money.
These SIA bafoons really have no clue, no matter which auditer your watching, they come out barking this, queefing that, and none of them realise how rediculous they sound. Why aren’t they teaching these goons about this sort of thing when they are being trained! Your too polite DJ, give them the benefit at first, attempt to educate them, if they still don’t listen, start cracking skulls! Metaphorically speaking of coarse 🤣
You have to go up and read DJ's message...Please refrain from posting racist comments. We do not condone racism and comments of this nature will be removed.
I have noticed a lot of foreign security guards who struggle to speak English and string together coherent sentences. I found an article from the Guardian published in 2007 about how there were 11,000 illegal migrants licensed to work as private security guards. Imagine how many there are now.
You would think that someone of foreign origin would make a special effort to know the laws of the land, particularly when it's part of the job! He probably would have some excuse in receiving erroneous training.
When the country is 'secured' by people who werent born in said country and have no knowledge or understanding of the laws in the country they have recently gained access to.
Dj thanks for the screen shot of the sub 250g law, that clears everything up for everyone (security guards/police/employees/employers and the public) what is law and what is allowed, keep up the great work, 👍🏻👍🏻
As a fellow Englishman, I’m amazed how many stupid people there are working in security 😂 another great video DJ thanks a bunch for posting. I even give you a shout out this week
I wouldn't go as far to call them stupid, just that the majority of them appear to come from countries where different laws apply and they are a little confused regarding UK laws. Before anyone accuses me of racism, I'm basing my opinion purely on their foreign accents.
Hear no, see no and speak no, 'we are not going to allow you', hilarious! bringing culture and diversity to the security industry, but letting the industry and John Lewis down badly, these people really do need additional training!
@@kevinthomas5992 You think so? Did you figure that out for yourself? Have you had the opportunity and good fortune of visiting another country? Yes, they have different rules in other countries. Makes sense now?
The guy at the end wearing a profit protection vest was the guy at the beginning wearing the warrant card, looks like he has took his warrant card off from around his neck now he realises he is being recorded.
It really doesn’t matter what country you’re in, there in the U.K. or here in the U.S., people think that you “need permission” to film in public. Thank you, DJ and all of the other auditors out there trying to educate people. I know that before I started watching auditor videos, I had no clue that anyone can film anything in public or from a public place.
I don't mean to sound prejudiced, but many of these security guards have strong accents and sound like immigrants who seem to not understand local laws regarding drones but feel entitled enough to tell others what they can and cannot do.
Can some body please ,pretty please get in contact with John Lewis HSE department, and inform them that security at this location are putting them at risk??
