Jimin got an Appreciation Plaque from The Kim Baek Bong Korean Fan Dance Conservation Society, for his amazing fan performance in the intro of Idol and for his (quote) "significant contribution to promote the status and the aesthetic value of the dance". The fan dance is considered as an Intangible Cultural Treasure by the Korean Government, so getting this Plaque was really a touching and impressive way to get his superb dancing style acknowledged. The appreciation for his dance was signficant since in Korean culture most dancers who do this specific dance are women. His dancing and handling of the fan being immaculate. Also his interpretation of it helped peak more interest from global audiences about the dance itself, since the video of his dance went viral.

I think the redhead friend meant that Jimin is not appreciated as much as he should be by the world for the amount of raw talent and hard work he puts into his craft which would make him “underrated” even though he’s one of the most loved and respected celebrities in Korea

I remember while they were doing IDOL where the other kpop idols were sitting it was legit shaking everything and they were all looking shocked as hell while BTS went even harder when I tell you those boys come and show out each time and turn awards shows into tiny concerts to were they told fans to try not to bring their light sticks cause it used to look like a stadium full of only ARMY 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜 btw who are you guys biases and bias wreckers I’m OT7 I can never choose

I’ve noticed that with BTS, whatever theatrics they have on stage is only to emphasize and complement the performance. BTS is still the centre of the performance. Other groups puts focus on the theatrics and the group is there to execute the theatrics. This took me some time to realize. And they always give it 1000%. Even when it’s a performance with no choreography, their energy level is still crazy. In another comment on another video, someone criticized them for their over the top energy 🤣🤣. If that’s the only thing they can find to criticize them for, I’ll take it and chuckle to myself. Never thought anyone would prefer a performance with no energy versus one that can make your emotions go up and down 🤷🏼‍♀️

Oh no no no, my dear. Jimin is not underrated. hehehehehe. No one is underrated, to be honest. None of them. Actually, Jimin is (for now) the holder of breaker of records in Korea. Breaking the records of Korean and Western artist, holder of Guinness Record, Billboard, Spotify, album sales, Korean and western charts and the ONLY idol in Korean history who received three National Honors. When it comes to dancing, he is a main dancer, when Jhope is not around, he do the sub as the dance leader. Jimin is one of the best and famous Korean artist in Korea when it comes to his contemporary-mixed martial arts dance moves. ^_^ Borahae. Individually, all BTS members has an amazing contribution. No underrated member at all ^_^ -- This is not even a stadium or a concert; it is an award show. To me, every year they performed at MMA was really good for what it is. The performances just got longer and bigger over the years. Even in 2015 when they performed only one song, the light show in the beginning was unique. Nobody does it like BTS 💜

Thanks guys. You get the point! At this tie BTS had been getting a LOT of hate claiming they were losing their Korean culture. Idol MV was a big answer to that - but so is this - so many elements of Korean culture in this performance. The costume jackets that you commented on being 'piratey' are in fact a modern take on the hanbok. Not that unusual for BTS to perform in hanbok. Performances are always longer than they seem! I know what you mean about fearing disappointment after the 2019 show, but no . BTS team (and we need to never forget their staff and creative team) are amazingly creative. It seems like, except for concerts, they hardly ever perform a song the same way twice, because they remix or the production is new. BTS is hard. How can we even keep up with new material, never mind catch up with previous albums and mixtapes?! Don't be at all shocked if you find something you have never heard of ... Whalien 52, anyone? 140340 anyone? Both of those are deeply thoughtful and a little bit sad, they are very beautiful touching songs and say a lot about what BTS had to face in this crazy industry. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

Slight correction, the secodn song you watched is Airplane Part 2 - the mv is in Japanese, they did not release a Korean mv. Airplane is a solo song by J-hope that also has an mv, but you want to see the Part 2 one for all of them ;) And they did have some time to change but the broadcast doesn't show that so it is more seamless.
