Rob thank you for being a guy who's not afraid to age. I have been super in my head with my channel lately saying "I'm 34, I can't get anywhere at this age" and after this video I just for the first time said to myself- he's only a few steps ahead of me. For once I don't feel like a loser, thank you man from the Bottom of my heart.

@@JJFX- I totally understand what you're saying. I'm subbed to a lot of engineering channels but Rob's attitude and love for learning/sharing is what makes this content so great for me. It's refreshingly genuine as far as I can tell. It may not be the best engineering (this is coming from a guy who put custom code on vernier calipers so they measure in cunt hairs, I have a video) but Rob and his dynamic with Isaiah put this channel near the top for me.

This is so encouraging to me personally to hear you say you’ve done all this in your 30s I was at Lowe’s for 15 years as a assistant store manager made decent money but was very stressed out. I eventually got fired or was going to get fired and walked out, I started looking for jobs and thought it would be a good opportunity to do what I always wanted to do was be a mechanic Fire stone hired me at 33 years old and shop supervisor said something to me that was very discouraging and told me that it was a little late for me to get started being a mechanic, but I have not given up I am now 35 and been doing this for two years. I’m working at a dealership now for the last year now And I’ve learned so much

I ended up running and programing various machines for about 8 years then quit to be a mechanic. I got started a little later but at 40 went back to school to learn welding, machining and design. I’m now 3 years in graduating this semester with my first degree and a few more classes to go for my machining degree. I have been in metal fabrication for a few years now also and just got a job as a machinists assistant. A big part of that is wanting to be able to do everything myself. And my love of hot ridding and motorcycles. I know very little about rotary motors but am learning more and more as I watch your videos. Excellent content. You inspire me. Keep up the good work. 👍🏽
