Hey everyone back with more Scrap Mechanic Survival! Today we are back in our co-op world doing some basic grinding things as well as planting crops to get some food! We need to explore and find a base eventually but first we need to stock up and defend some raids! Too bad we are terrible at it.

A t1 metal gate would suffice but it would prolly get broken (1/1000 against totebots/greens and 1/10 or 1/100 [I forgot exactly] against haybots), t2 breaks near never against haybots (1/1000 chance each hit) and is invincible to totebots/greens, while t3 is literally invincible to everything except reds.

The boys need to learn the Midnight Farmer what Farms At Midnight strat. (Plant your crops right after midnight and have 'em out of the ground by the time the raid comes. Then you set up some lawn chairs at the mechanic station and point and laugh at the haybots.)

Tip: when you make a farm, make a wall around the crops (at least 4 blocks high) then make a single plane of blocks at the top block for a REALLY big farm prot

for this series you should definitely do a railway type system so various point of interest like packing stations, the trader, your base, oil, and maybe some other places

kAN, build a fence like a table, that is one block tall, but floating 5 blocks above the ground, and 6 blocks wide, so the haybots have to dig deeper into it to get to the crops.

Omg, find the trader and plant your crops in the mountains around the trader so you dont have to worry about raids. You just need to hurry up and get a pump so you can fill a chest with water and bring it to your farm to water it.

if u make a small base on the containers near the first packing shop - u can have the farm stuff in between 2 of the containers in a triangle - it fits 24 plots - and just wall off the open side towards the yellow mark in the center of the containers - maybe add a spinning sawblade - also the top of the containers make a nice place to store ur items - bots etc , since its out of range from the bots - ( lost a big chest - a collector and a refine bot to the haybots - until i moved my stuff up, out of harms way

A good Woc pen is using the huge trees that can't be broken by your sledge hammer and welding it to teir 2 or 3 metal so the Woc can't phase through. Also making a double layered platform on water for better defence and 1 or 3 walls covering it mean you don't have to look after the Woc pen while your doing something. I have one and more more Wocs keep coming to the Woc pen. I have a total of 16 Wocs, four Wocs per pen.

There will always be some basic seeds on the shelf next to the trader. If it is difficult to collect the seeds, you can go to him to get them.

Option > Display > Brightness Carrots and Milk the starter food 3x3 crop fields spaced out for no raids Check if you have a water source around the mountain of derpyderp and start a farm where Go raid some bot buildings Get a Drill some bearins and blocks to mine rocks the good old starter way Deconstuct the Hoods along the roads for dirt wood and seeds MrDerpyDerp always has seeds outsite his shops for noobs

2 things, 1: for the wall, you should have made it extend out vertically like 5 or 6 blocks 2: also, i climbed up one of the big trees and there are beehives at the top... soo unlimited wheels and vacuum pumps and other stuff

6:04 I'm sure those cows had enough component kits to buy the skeleton upgrades before they hit the ground And later on, Kan shows us his water bucket technique and my mind compares it to guns. If you're watering your crops by running to the water, hauling the bucket back and throwing, that's a single shot rifle. One shot and a slow reload. If you're planting by the water and filling your bucket once before throwing, and then quickly refill again, that's a Bolt Action. But if you're Kan, your bucket is basically a Glock. Just keep shooting. It'll work, guaranteed

the knockback is so OP when you gotta defend and they destroy 1 crop per second fighting 2 haybots is okay but more solo is just SO hard

for some tips with hammer combat against haybots if you run into them, jump and hit them at the same time you get hit back and they get hit once, just be aware of the poke attack (20 damage) which is strait after a swing attack (30 damage)

heh, the bots are tricky, I swear if you wipe them all out it waits a minute or two and just drops in an extra bot. I remember the first farm I made, I killed the bots, then sat there organising my inventory as a greeny just came in and wrecked my entire plot without me even realising.

@kan you should make a flyer that has a flyer in it so there's a mothership and a scouting ship and you have 2 people so you can use both at once and the smaller one can redock the the mother ship and deposit some materials

you need to build horizontal walls 2 or 3 blocks above the ground at least 5 to 10 layers wide and you'll have no problem defending

I found a big dessert biome with 3 oil fields. Just need to move my base to it by land or air. Then there won't be a problem getting huge amounts of fuel to move my mobile base around the map.

Put soil off of your tile, 4, and your crops will be safe from attacks. You will not have a bunch of food but you will have your seeds.

not sure if you're interested in not having any challenge but if you find one of the really high like mountain land masses the bots dont spawn on it they spawn around it, i had a farm on top of one of em and it was really easy to farm without fear of bots

I really want this game to have Hammer skins as well. Like an Axe, Pickaxe, Shovel, ya know..tool stuff. Like I get it, hammer's cool and all, but it's kinda....junky looking. If it HAS to be a hammer than we need like a sledgehammer, regular hammer, mallet, ball-peen hammer. Who wouldn't like to have a fancy axe or shovel to replace the hammer tool? AXE-ually cut down trees or cartoonishly bash hay bots in the head with a shovel. Or use the Legendary Mallet skin and every bot you smack with it makes the bonk.mp3 sound. xD

Just so you know you can plant up to 9 crops at a time and you wont be raided Also if you want to reset the raids wait 1 to 3 days and plant again the raids will be reset by then p.s. the raids don't really care how much more crops you have after 9 the bots that come will always be the same with maybe a wave or two skipped
