King crab legs costs $100 a pound where I live, Midwest. Considering it's less than $100 a pound, that's an excellent price, at least for me, as that's be $600 and I'd still had to steam it myself and it wouldn't be as fresh.
I’d agree but even with these prices, if you’re lucky you’ll find king crab for $40/lb absolute cheapest but most usually $75+ per lb. That’s for frozen legs not fresh whole crabs ofc. Y’all just pulling a number outta your arse but absolutely these are overpriced BUT, we don’t know if these are especially fresh crab legs that aren’t your usual frozen from the store type, these do seem slightly larger but not rlly. Crazy that the fishing industry works where you can’t even get a single restaurant serving an abundance of fresh off the dock live crab/really fresh crab during season (I get they’re not being caught this year) Oddly enough they’re cheaper than ever at my grocery store, $6.99/lb ain’t bad for snow crab these days. It says US caught too so either they’ve been in a freezer for years or they’re actually Canadian/Russian. 🦀🦀🦀

what happened to lower prices when you’re closer to the source? Used to be able to get Alaskan King Crab for killer cheap in Seattle compared with the midwest.. but these prices seem extremely high considering they’re caught right there in Alaska..
For just $120 you can buy a book which teaches you how to manifest your dreams and dream about anything you want. Since watching this vid, I’ve dreamt about visiting this place and eating this lobster three times. Tastes great for far less money.
Lol you must be living under the rock. There population has been in decline for the past 25 years or more. That is why some seasons are close because not many crabs left
In Norway the king crab is invasive. I don’t know why people don’t fish for them over there because if you think about it they could make bank off of selling something that’s invasive
Omg I was able to eat at that place. I had only been to Juneau one time. I was bound and determined to eat Alaskan King crab. I ordered 2 legs. $140. Did not realize how big they were going to be. The best crab legs ever I can still taste them The gentlemen next me was surprised I ate both of them. The price of them I was not going to leave any behind. I did not eat dinner that night on the cruise.
You do know that it comes from Dutch Harbor Alaska, and there’s nothing like processing cooking life king crab right there on the spot. That crab was frozen before I got there
Before anyone complains that they are too expensive, just remember that it is expensive and dangerous to set and retrieve traps for these crabs, especially in the wild Alaskan waters
I was born in Fairbanks Alaska and lived there for 7 years. We knew a guy that got king crab and we would get them for way cheaper than that. It pays to know people. Sometimes my parents would go and get king crab and get them for free because they were on the boat with the traps. I wish I still lived there
That is an insane price!!! Back in 1995-96. Here in Massachusetts you could go to any number of local restaurants every summer and get all you can eat king crab legs for $20.00 bucks. I’m sorry, it was $20.00 bucks for the big plate of one crab legs ( two sides of four with steamers and corn. Or all you can eat for $25.000 bucks. The restaurant would always win by getting the five bucks out of you. Because no one was going to eat more than one order. Delicious but very salty knuckles. The salt would bind you up for the rest of the weekend but it was soooo worth it!!!
That's awesome! King crab is definitely a delicious treat. Unfortunately, I'm not an expert on Alaskan king crab, but I am an expert on tiny homes. If you're looking for more information on tiny homes and pricing, please visit www.drewanthony.ca.

When I was there, a few years back and of course on the cruise, we went there. The most expensive item is what I got because it had the king crab legs, sweet and delicious. Short line for food. Ate outside. The meal was 150.00. Fed 2 of us. Plenty of food. We loved it. Great experience. No complaints. Best seafood I've ever had.❤❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉

Best things are oxycodone and crablegs. I was so happy at Tracys, after consuming 60 mg oxy. We have had one of those buckets and I remeber WHO I became in sooo good mode. Oxycodone is the best option when you enjoy crablegs.
Went on the Alaskan boat cruise was super fun stopped here and ate like $550 worth crab 🦀 me wife and a couple friends we all was full and still had crab on the table price was high but it was first time there and was amazing
For $39.99 at alot of casino buffets on the Mississippi Gulf Coast i got all the snow crab, king crab, dungenes crab, lobster claws i could eat.Literally went every week for years with my parents.Half the time the buffet was free from playing. And winning!I dont recommend gambling though!
Lol I live in florida and even after this horrible hurricane our publix had king crap for 29.99 a lb and they are huge so yea that's whatvus floridians would call a tourist trap. I'd but 2 crabs straight off a boat alive and cooked em in my dam room in 10 mins
It’s such a huge tourist trap. I went there in September and paid over $80 for three crab legs. Not worth the hype. Crab legs come frozen and they steam it. Save your money.
Those days are over for unseen future. The reason is from under water volano vents in the Pacific Ocean are warming the sea. After Norway volcano blows any day. Will start cooling atmosphere
Everyone complaining about the cost doesn't understand food. 6lbs of king crab would be 250$$ even at the BEST wholesale deals. 426 for the same product served on a restaurant table in a place that has to fly or boat supplies in is honestly just about right
This no different than comparing the King Crab to an iPhone. Marketing, Supply and Demand, Human Greed cost , Logistics and Transportation cost, Merchant Marine Cost and Government Tax and ECT.
Those crab legs are probably rewards for crab fishermen that just got back from a season on the Bering Sea because only those mf’s could afford that kind of pricing
That sounds amazing! I'm sure those crab legs were delicious. When it comes to tiny homes, I'm the expert! If you're looking for more information or wondering what the cost of a tiny home is, I recommend checking out www.drewanthony.ca. lol damn crab tourist traps lol. its okay its an expiriance. im f4om alaska and been to one where they gave me a single leg for 111 bucks. when i was a kid we would have king crab on christmas. get a 30 pound box for 300 or a 50 pound box for 500.
If you realize it, they are $70 a pound in the very place they come from. Only in wonderful America. Those exact same Alaskan or allegiant king crab or any other king crabs are $15-$20 a pound around the world
I remember when I was a kid you could got to the sea food store near the docks in the town I grew up in and get a whole king crab for like 40 bucks now it’s 400 bucks for the legs I hate the world we live in now!
Never understood why something like that would be so expensive if you're getting it basically from the source. Now if it was shipped all the way to Florida I would understand.
