Nah, most dirt racers would. They can fight each other one week , and the next week spend hours together to fix a car. Not taking anything away from Mr. Slay. That was an awesome thing to do.
How about a big shoutout to the Collins team? I understand giving Bo all the respect for the motor, but those guys stayed up late also to use the lift gate as an engine hoist.
This happened when they moved shops to Jonathan’s house. Joshua has posted about it, I’m sure you can find it. There’s some family stuff going on with their dad and from what I read it had to do with Jesse.
Man Bo is a amazing man. A lot of ppl wouldn’t of did this.Aight boys you guys got the motor and the driver let’s HTF now. Man I would like to know Bo history on how he started racing would love to see a video of that if you and him are down with that
How cool would it be to see them start last and Hunt the Front with the Bo Slay engine and put that thing in the show. Would be quite the accomplishment!
And that's why racers are a special group of people. Always willing to help their competitor. Bo Slay and his group are a class act. Good luck tonight and I hope you get your new motor issues resolved quickly. HTF!!
This video is why I LOVE the dirt track community. I don't know of any other sport where someone has bad luck and 2 other teams make huge sacrifices and stay up all night just to help out. Such a great thing to see.
Wow!!! With this country in the shape it’s in and you still find people of that caliber at the track. Must be the clay in their vanes. I am proud to know all y’all even it’s only on video. You know Chandler is telling everyone that those are his people!!! None better!!! Good Luck boys!!!
Good luck guys. Nothing worthwhile comes easy and y’all put in the work so Joseph hunt that front son!!!!! Bo you’re a gentleman and a scholar buddy!!!! Dirt racers are competitive but when the problems and pressure is on they become family all over again and will help each other to accomplish anything.
Hang in there HTF things will get better but a nite like that just shows you the quality of your friends and fellow racers that’s what I love about real racers they always band together to help each other out in tough spots you guys are Truly blessed to have good friends will be rooting for you tomorrow night elbows up
I don't know Bo Slay, but I have admired his persona since watching him on the HTF videos. He is a class act and a very good Champion racer. May God Bless all of you.
Hats off to Bo for being the sport and friend that he is and loaning you his motor, fingers crossed that after all this you HUNT THE FRONT and find it for the WIN! good luck!
Great job everyone!! Outstanding video! The real life of racers. Something different. Sleepless, memorable memories. Made the most of it. Drama. Funny. Tension. Fatigue. Loved the hourly updates by Bo and Jessie!!.....Not only did Bo loan you his motor but he was in there installing it and tuning it to make sure it was right. After tonight's efforts, you guys need to make Bo a star. Or at least lots more air time. He even saved you guys a spot right next to him in the pits....This may turn out to be one of your best videos ever. Lots going on. Different......This will happen again in the future as you are all well aware of. Be bummed as a car owner but be excited as a film maker/story teller! Take advantage of the bumps in the road....Sure looks like that is what you are doing here on this night!!....I would suggest letting Shadow, etc go back to the motel on any late night races whenever she wants. Don't want to burn the women out.....Good save on this video! Lots of drama and humor!! Good stuff!
Great team and family! Been in racing all my life and this is why I love it, great job everyone and I really hope it works out. Bo Slay is HTF, if anyone had any doubt. Get em Joseph!
WOW not word!!! Hats out to very one who Helped. Way to getter done guys!!! What an awesome racing community you have!!! Praying for you all, hope you got sleep & ready to gotter done tonight! God bless!!!
Was one edge of my deck chair, hoping we’d hear the motor fire up. Joseph will have to DRIVE hard to make it. Crossed fingers, and prayers on the way. So Awesome, HUGE THANK YOU, to Bo, and his Team.
Wow, all of you guys are awesome. See this is what makes racing. Its the experience in the pits with awesome people who are willing to be there for one another and help out. Glad things are looking up. Good luck.
This is pretty good proof that even a motor machined BY GM making it a “sealed” motor CAN have catastrophic failure at no fault of the installation team. GM is just a bigger version of any machine shop out there. Quality control exists in any shop making products like this but things STILL make there way off a production floor with issues. Good work HTF crew and props to Bo Slay. He’s a great guy with even greater sportsmanship.
Steve Hendren of Hendren engines specializes in 602 and 604 engines. He has a full explanation as to why this happens with a bunch of GM crate engines and GM’s response to the info he sent them about it.
Man thats some good old boys right there that stayd up and let you use their lift. Big shout out to that team. And a huge shout out to Bo with the motor. You guys busted your asses off to get that motor in and fired. I've had a few of them nights before and it never gets old. Tiring but never old. This is one of my favorite videos so far. God bless u all. And P.S. please keep one of our local guys Grandson in your prayers. The Eckert Family. Rick had a tragic accident happen to his Grandson and he was burned by race fuel. And is in ICU rn. Thank u all
I love the sportsmanship from the other teams, jumping right in to help without a second thought. You boys have definitely earned the respect of other racers, and Bo is awesome too!
Thumbs up to Bo , that's a true Racing friend , that's what racing is about helping your fellow racer. Great job on the engine swap that was a lot of help , good people not to mention tired people.👍
I've had open motors start funny like that always did . And they died like that one did. Pretty strange a 604 broke that never was apart. Had to have been a Friday afternoon, right before qwiting time assembly lol . Those motors are pretty solid on the bottom end as you can attest to with your old one . Hats off to Bo , not everybody would do that. Good luck with the B, and hopefully you make the A . And a great finish also.
From what I could make out in the video Joseph made it sound like they might be losing fuel pressure. Only thing I can come up with other than a assembly error is it lost fuel pressure leaned out and toasted the rotating assembly but I’m 99% positive that Joesph wouldn’t have let it go that far. So glad they’ve got a good dude like Bo in their corner and hopefully they can get in the show tonight!
Love it Love it Love it . Now that's the Heart and soul of true racers . Your right there are some Good people . Nothing but the best of luck to you all . Now Hunt The Front ...
Your crews treatment with the other teams shows when stuff likes that happens and they come to your aid to allow you guys to race keep the faith hammer down
#TEAMMilton this weekend! Awesome friendship to lend your motor to a fellow competitor, and also from other teams to help with the swap...that’s the racing community for you!! Hope you make the show and take it home 🏁🏁
Been there, done that. No where else but in the racing family do we have that much support. Thanks to Bo, you are a true racer, good luck to Joseph and the 10 car.👍😀🏁
Bo, mate you are what speedway is all about ..helping out a mates and having fun doing it. Bo Slay u are a Champion .... %100 buying a #2 shirts now...
That’s how you know, who your friends are. Most of the time racing families help others they know and some they don’t. Good job Bo, Collins team and everybody else, that’s how it’s supposed to be done! So driver(Joseph) better get that HTF mojo going and get er in the show! Good luck! Go HTF ! 🏁🏁🏁
Back in 1979 my dad took my brother and I down to Daytona for Speed Weeks, I was around 14 years of age. We had a high rise hotel on the beach on A1A, there were race teams with short track cars that were running New Smyrna Beach Speedway or Volusia County Speedway every night. One of the teams had a blown engine and they proceeded to swap it out right there in the parking lot of the hotel. Back then you went to the big track all day, the little tracks all night and lived and breathed stock car racing every minute. To have those boys swapping that race car engine in the parking lot only added to the whole experience. Best times of my life with dad.
Love yaw too death brothers and sisters. What an inspiration for a ol 44 year old paralyzed boy that used love them late models. Best of luck to you guys i watch every video yaw put out. I hate yaw lost that motor man maybe a blessing coming 🙏 🙌 you never know
Gotta love Bo. I'm glad he's become a bigger part of the channel and HTF crew. Heck I even enjoyed "camera man Bo" 3am update 😂. Go hunt that damn front tomorrow y'all.
This is what it is all about.I have been around dirt racing all my life and everyone at the tracks are a big family.Good luck guys we got to make the show.
I grew up racitwith the Collins bunch. I raced with Johnny, and Chase started at Callahan Speedway, where I'm the flagman. Good people right there. And I love the way that Bonis probably your biggest rival on the track, but your friendship off of it is priceless!! Good luck in the B main!!
Thank you Bo, and I'll tell you boys what...regardless of what happens from this point foreword, you all won the race that time never saw ! And...you'll be telling your grandchildren about this one.
That’s a hell of a thing right there. I’ve been watching since day one. You guys are blessed to have the bond you all share. Hopefully I’ll get to see the 10 and 56 rip it up one day !
So sorry that that brand new bullet grenaded! I was hoping for some good things from it! Big thanks to you Bo. You're a great guy along with a great driver! I blew a new motor that was pro built when I started racing and I know the disappointment. Good luck getting all your ducks back in a row. Really enjoy your videos!
Good on ya Bo for lending the motor, shows how much a great mate you are to the Joiner boys. Also the night showed how much the speedway family is God's with the loan of the lift to get the motor in and out. Go HTF
One of the coolest videos I’ve seen on RU-vid. Having grown up in the Midwest, our short track was Fairbury American Legion Speedway and they have a couple big races during the year that brings a lot of big names in. It’s a family affair and this videos proves it. Good luck tonight!👍
Big thank you to Bo Slay and his crew for helping out HTF Nation!! We are forever in your debt sir 🤘🏁🙏🏼 Awesome job all involved, love the dedication fellas and extremely happy to see that the hard work paid off. Congrats on making the show!! Now continue the fight and elbows up JoJo 💨💨💨🏁🏁🏁🤘🤘🤘 #HTFnation #ElbowsUpJoJo #10Joiner
Wow, where to start. First off sorry for the bad luck. I know they don't warranty those motors, but hopefully someone at GM will step up and give you guys a break. Sorry to see Bo not finish in the front, but hats off to him for his offer. I knew when I met him earlier this year he was a stand up guy and in watching all of you interact with him, he is really another HTF teammate. Watching you all do the motor (yes, again I said MOTOR!!) swap laughing and cutting up was great. You all easily could have been grumpy and down, but that's not what I see out of the HTF Crew. When they came around with the 5/6AM chicken I thought to myself, "Wonder if that is Chandler Shaw's recipe?" and when I saw Jesse bite into it and the look on his face, I knew it was. I'm sure he is up there looking over all of you. Next time I see Bo I have to get that recipe from him. We found some Dale's up here at our local Kroger. I just have to get that recipe from Bo to give it a try. Anyway, good luck tonight. I predict Joseph transfers from the B-main and has a top 10 finish in the feature. #TAKENOPRISONERS #HTFNATION
