I'm so excited to see this video! Kelly and Alex, I am 70 years old and I wish I had known about dumpster diving 40 years ago! You really bring me a lot of entertainment. Plus knowing you are working for the planet! God bless you both! Oops! And Pilgrim too! (St. Louis MO)
@@ninafleming4038 Depends on your city if it's illegal. I live in Orange County, California and it is illegal to do around my County but I still do it. Especially around the nicer areas a lot of people will leave bags of clothes just outside the dumpsters so people can take them.
Label your listings #grannycore. I’m sure you know that! Plus size vintage is in demand too! What an amazing deal for $100. I like to think this lady would be tickled that you’re so excited about her clothes! Great Score!
Most of the clothes are from the eighties..Also check everything and every piece of tissue paper because a lot of older people would hide money in everything..
Nursing a migraine & don't want to open my eyes. Kelly, did you know you can listen to your videos & not even have to watch, you're so descriptive & entertaining! 😁 love the video
Wow Kelly what a haul for 100 dollars you really did get your money's worth I love the way you are always happy in your videos looking forward to your next 1 have a great new year xx
Back then shoes and handbags were used by matching them. I remember when I used to shop for hours searching for handbags to match. Loved clothes from the 60s, 70s, and 90s. Not the 80s.
I think more and more people are exhibitionists. They wear less and less because they love to shock people!!!!! They wear little or nothing and either act like they don’t know any better or they do know better but just don’t care! I’ve seen more skin in one day at the mall than I would have ever seen when I was a kid. It seems so common place to be outrageous. It’s almost “accepted” by society. I can’t accept it. I just have to live with it. None of It can be “unseen” either. BBBLLEECCHKKK! What happened to modesty???
@@holleyjomartinez4009 exhibitionist is a strange word for you to use. People can dress how ever they want and don’t have to please you. We live a short life and right now in this pandemic why not. If you ask me you sound jealous.
I agree if you are taking time for the hair, make- up and jewelry why not slip on a nice outfit and amazing shoes. That woman cared for her clothing as I do. Make sure you shoes boots miles are put away with the appropriate care as your bags.
Kelly I believe that bread box may be vintage my grandparents had one for their 50th wedding anniversary back in the 1980s so it may well be over 30 years old possibly
Fun! We did that one time. They wanted $1 for each item in the closet and we unloaded it. That’s so much fun! Wow they did it on an auction . That a cool way to do it. We had to unload my Father in laws home. It was so much work. Finally we got Salvation Army to come. It was in the middle of the pandemic. And it took several try’s to get the furniture picked up. We still have stuff in the garage. Hopefully we can have a garage sale in the spring. You got a lot of vintage. There is quit a following. You did get very cool stuff! You are going to make a lot of money on them. They are high quality. The lady had good taste. Reminds me of my mother in laws closet. She always ordered the nicest things. People do pay up for the beard boxes. I sold a house cost today. They do well. Avenue is a clothing store. Check every pocket! She might have put jewelry or money in the pockets. Hug pilgrim for me. Happy new year! Leslye
@@breafkast I was almost laughing my head off when I saw Pilgrim zipping around the front yard. It's a section you were doing time lapse. I would love to see 2 minutes of Pilgrim under time lapse photography, so cute and funny or very funny I'm sure you would agree. ❤️
My mother in law had tons of nice vintage clothes and shoes and we couldn't give it away. It was nice expensive stuff too. I even tried to consign it and that was a no go too. Most of it ended up at the thrift store. I'm glad you're excited and I hope you don't end up disappointed.
I'm with you ....not being a Debbie downer but not sure who would wear these ....maybe nursing homes or homeless shelters (??) Hope you do well with it all Kelly 👍
Some people can’t wear them for medical reasons. When I see someone pass by me not wearing one, I don’t judge that person. Some people also have anxiety and can’t wear them. I don’t go out because I have anxiety and only go out when I absolutely have to.
I have the "trash can" myself but it doesn't say Trash on it, as it is a potato bin. It keeps the potatoes from sprouting so fast. Also Margaret just an FYI you never keep potatoes & onions in the same bin or even close to eachother, they are not compatible & the gases emitted from onions will actually make the potatoes rot.
Those vintage sweatsuit sets should sell well. Check your comps before deciding what to do with them. You have a car load of vintage and vintage sells $$$$$$$$$.
@@melisa8256 Etsy classifies items 20 years and older vintage. Many of these items are from the 1980s, so yes they are vintage....and if you check her shop most of the items have sold.
I’m so happy for y’all!! That was an awesome buy, I couldn’t believe it when you said you only paid $5 for all those shoes that’s awesome!! I’m gonna keep checking out your store because I seen some things I’d like to buy from you!! You stay safe and well, love you girl🙏🙏💗💗 Had to edit I forgot to tell you to give Pilgrim a big hug and kiss 😘 from me!! I just love him!!!🥰🥰
You are so excited for the stuff I got rid of twenty years ago after holding on to it for ten years. I hope you have good luck selling them, most I noticed were plus sized.
Looks like the Lady was a professional realtor or something of the sort, that traveled for conferences, going on cruises and so forth. Most of from the seventies and eighties, including the bread box. Enjoyed, especially because of your bubbly personality. A bit of bubbly to go with my New Years Eve. Hope You and Alex Enjoy (Be In Joy) on this New Years Eve. : )
WOW! That's a great haul! When you moved the "Moon something" shirt, the black and white stripes got blurry when it moved. 😊 An optical illusion. Very cool items! Happy dance!! 😊 I am so happy for you! Hugs
8:47 I grew up with that wooden trash can as well as a wooden cupboard that stood next to the trash can and it had a mesh door with two compartments where we kept our onions and potatoes! Good old 90's!!😀
When she said the pile if clothes outside was for Cathy Lutz, I didn't know why I got a weird feeling...then I remembered...The Amityville Horror! Poor Cathy.
It's so cute how excited you are over typical 80's clothing for a middle - older age woman. The colors from the 80's can't be beat! Miss how colorful life used to be. Thanks for making this 40 something feel old. LOL!
The leather patchwork bag is $$$$$! Something just like it was featured in what is not for 2021! Patchwork anything. Esp leather...so don't let it go for cheap!!!! I'd at least want 75 for the set. But I would sell them separate. 75 for the big... 40 for the little... and that's on the low side. Think about how rare this stuff is in that condition. Your not always going to find 🔥 like that. Plus...thats what stuff is priced in the stores anyways. That's why I say minimum for them. For tips I'd really want 129 for the big. 69 little
Actually, I don’t think the raincoat you thought was “periwinkle” was “Periwinkle.” I think it’s lavender. (Unless my screen is off!) Periwinkle is more of a blue color. Beautiful color! It is so nice to see that the lady who owned these clothes actually took very good care of her things! So many people just toss their clothes and stuff their shoes away. Nice! Have fun! ♥️
Kelly, PLEASE leave your mask up and alone when you're in public! My aunt just died from covid and she got it from someone who wouldn't stop touching their face. Please! You're too young to have something like that happen to you. We can hear you through the mask just fine. Please, I beg you.
Alex sews? What does he make? You guys are so amazing!!! I love you guys, keep up with your videos! I can't get out to go dumpster diving, but I can live vicariously through yours. Thank you for all your adventures!
Love to watch your videos. You're sweet and genuine. There's a young man that dumpster dives in Norway. He's like you- he get so excited when he finds good stuff. His channel is Dyngenn. He could use some subscribers too. I think he has 61 or so. Worth the watch. Happy New Year!
Brilliant video Kelly , but please don't stop Dumpster Diving we love it and the excitement watching to see what you find , lots love from England X,, I would love to buy some items but the shipping is Just too expensive , Sorry 🥰 X Happy New Year 😃
You got so much. So happy for you. But, and I am not trying to harsh your happy, but the lady preferred more over better. She bought a ton inexpensively, but she definitely took care of her stuff. Only $100. Wow, you totally scored!
How can I buy the black and red peek a boo dress sweater outfit? Love watching you channel. I have anxiety and I find you do relaxing which helps for my anxiety and you are inspiring for me to dumpster diving. I dumpster dived and got my computer chair. It is amazing. Thank you and keep up what you are doing.
Hope make a it of $$ on everything you brought. Everything seems in grate condition. You should lookup a few things before pricing . Wish you the best of luck blessing always.
Did the Seller mention the clothing was mostly womens half size? Sellers should be transparent about the sizing, especially if all the clothing is one size. I saw one label that showed the ladies suit was 18W. The average size for women in the US is 12-14.
Umm..those guys who brought the clothes to your car should have been wearing masks. It’s irresponsible to too, especially with many people coming to pick things up.
Classy lady! Wonderful her clothes will find homes in a retro way. If you get a chance watch on youtube Curiosity Incorporated. He bought the entire contents of a house for $20,000.00. Then he sold all the coats, clothes, purses and shoes for $10,000 to a man who sells vintage clothes on three etsy stores. The 97 year old lady who passed let behind designer clothes, purses and shoes. Plus her father was a taylor. All his things were still there also. 100 years of collector paintings, glass and clothes.
This was a woman who liked to spend money on clothes, shoes and purses. She probably wore each outfit once to church or out with her friends and they went back in the closet!!! I had aunts like that!! I bet no one ever sat in the formal living room....some of that victorian furniture....wow!!!
I am glad you found so much for $100. This is why it's impo to constantly go through closets, etc. & give away things not needed, worn or used. The reason they didn't let ppl in the house was prob bc it was a hoarder's house. It seems that this person may have kept everything they ever bought. The unused purses, shoes, etc. The dated tops from the 70s and 80s. I think the lesson here is when you go, think of others who will have to clear out everything. The people holding this estate sale saved themselves so much time by simply selling items in lots. This could also be labeled a video on how to conduct a successful estate sale of someone who "collected" things. Sell in batches online and at the lowest price possible.
Wow, you did great. Check the shoes well bcuz if shoes are not preserved well, (like w/cedar bits or cedar closet) they dry out n fall apart as they’re being worn. Just a heads up.
Did you ever think about matching suit shoes purse and hat. See if you can get more money for it Just a thought Love you Alex Pilgrim. Connie from Cincinnati
Thank you so much for rejuvenating my dumpster diving Ways I was dumpster diving today I found a lamp and make up organizer of soap dispenser and I thought of you and made me smile because you’re so beautiful and so nice so positive and you make my day happier thank you for all you do
It is so much fun to hear your excitement love love love it.How do you sell stuff like that I have 4 giant boxes of clothes bags and shoes like that plus I have a lot of vintage costume jewelry but I don’t know how to go about selling it and I could sure use the money right now I owe the electric company 1,000 dollars
We love you brefkast all the way from the UK,keep up the great work and thank you for your brilliant videos, happy new year to you Kelly Alex and pilgrim .xxx❤
Wow! So much stuff to sort out, and it is all in great condition and looks very good quality. The lady obviously took good care of her things. (The blouse with lots of black and white stripes going in different directions made my eyes go all funny!) PS I had a multi coloured patchwork leather bag in the early seventies - the handles were big metal rings.
Wow that's a great haul I would keep the bread box even to store office things instead of bread lol... my mom had something similar to the multicolor bag in the early 80s
I'm a new subscriber and I really enjoyed the video cant wait for more. I have found my new number one favourite youtuber ever and I enjoy the dumpster diving videos as well
I think the vintage Super Bowl sweatshirt will be worth quite a bit to a collector. Overall I think you’ve done very well with this haul. All so clean and well looked after too.
Hi. Kelly. I love it when you go and get some many nice things from homes that are selling there whole closet. The dresses look nice and the purses look beautiful. God Bless you. Have a Happy New Year. Have fun, and be very careful out there.love the video. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ Maria. 😍😍😍😍
