Apparently refunds are only valid until May 9 (someone posted on the subreddit a screenshot from their website). Sounds sketchy! I have a feeling there's gonna be a lot of disputes with the banks lol.

They could be planning a “we’ve worked hard to make a second batch but since the last ones sold so fast we have to make them more expensive!” To create FOMO, which is a huge impact on people.

Maybe they secretly stopped ticket sales on the back end to end up refunding their “sold out” event when there is an inevitable “location issue that’s out of their control”

The security required to pull a permit for an event like that is way more expensive then you're thinking. They have minimum security and medics depending on the size of the event. When we do events like that as a paramedic we get paid $85+an hour then you have the golf carts, rescue trucks, etc that need to be paid to the department. Think about the insurance, employees, fencing, entertainment, rides, zoo, and so much more.

I live in a rural Canadian town and we get rinky dinky travelling carnivals every now and then. They're super cheap/borderline sketchy, all the rides come in like foldable trailer hitches, so when they get to the site the carnies (usually a gang of troubled 30 somethings) just open em up plug them into an electricity source and you're ready to go. I've looked into it and renting such a carnival (at least here) actually costs next to nothing b/c the company stands to profit from it. If the ace family didn't care so much about optics they could just do this. I mean I always loved em as a kid, even if you thought the ride was gonna fall apart beneath you lmao

It’s seems to me that they’ll cancel the event, and pocket the ticket sales by screwing about with refunds. Looking at the sales they’ll most probably say something like the venue has a minimum to go ahead and cover fees and it didn’t make it so it’s cancelled. They scammed their viewers on refunds before and they got 0% comeback. They need quick cash, they have lots of stupid fans, still. You can’t blame them really, they only way they’ll stop scamming their fans for money to pay their debts is if people stop giving them money.

You can contract a whole traveling carnival company to provide most everything. It is still pretty expensive however

my guess is they're taking everyone's money, putting it into a high interest bank account for a month or two, then give it back when the event is cancelled. Depending on how many final ticket sales they get, it would be a healthy profit. Just like Tesla reservations, it's basically an interest free loan. Plus the merch sales, which might be the only legit thing about the whole event, since it's cheap to make, ship and of course profitable. That would be the smart thing to do I suppose. If they sell every remaining ticket, and put it into a bank account that pays 5% that would be a cool 250k. Then there's the merch sales on top. Easy money tbh.

security company rate is average $35/hr per guard. $35×8hr×50 guards is $14000 just for security

a lot of companies say their product or service is "sold out" so that they can have "limited restocks" at a marketing skimming price. spray ground does it all the time and a lot of companies do it to create artificial demand in marketing you learn people are dumb and will do anything they think that others are doing so I make u think a lot of people like it there's an 80% chance your going to like it too without me doing anymore work

Sad part is the location they gave already has a Confirmed event already in place on that same day all day the official location they gave is in Lancaster at AV fair and event center. Making people pay half a grand to see a RU-vid family not A-List celebrities a dried up RU-vid family where their da base is mostly children.

Nobody is going to insure the ace family for this “festival”. Lol

I’m calling that they aren’t going to do the event at all but will come up with some bullshit that they can only do 50% refunds and you need to jump through hoops to get it, so they still pocket $100k or more and never have to do anything .

I was in the carnival industry for about 10 years and we use to do rental deals kinda like this. For a small kiddie ride would usually be 2500 a piece for the day not counting operator pay and for big rides could be anywhere from 10 to 25k per day depending on the circumstances and how difficult the set up tear down and what time of year

Actually- they may be able to. My kids high school does a mini carnival for their homecoming every year. They only charge $60 per kid and that included food ad 3-4 ;large carnival rides. They had about 600 kids attend and they had money left over. So As far as the carnival rides they definitely could do it for under $30k. Also Palmdale is very cheap and that's why they went there. They may have the land being used for free

So I live near Palmdale and there are carnival rides being put up at the Lancaster fair grounds. I don’t know if that’s related but there are rides going up.

It is a common practice, and that's why some concerts sell out so fast. Most of the tickets are not even for sale. I've heard that a lot of it is deals with banks. Banks provide perks like concert tickets so most of them are given to banks and other various companies as promos so a small fraction of tickets actually go on sale to the public. And it makes them look good when tickets sell out in 5 minutes.

Palmdale is literally a little desert village next to an Air fFoce base.

They need a permit and depending on the number of attending people the permit might be different. So they need to know how many will attend. Or they end up doing it in a mall parking lot

Didn’t they put out an official wedding date? So while 200k isn’t a crazy amount … it does sound like enough to put on a big fancy wedding! I think fans are being scammed yet again, to pay for the wedding! 🤔🤔🤔🤔

That same day the ace fest there's also an art festival going on in the same area and the tickets are $20 to the art festival

The biggest red flag to me is they have all these activities planned, but no venue less than 3 months out. I just looked at the website and there's still no announcement. All that stuff probably requires permits, especially for rides and animal interactions. I'd say they can't find anyone daft enough enough to sponsor and host then, and it'll be on "the venue" which we'll never hear the name of bc it's not real lol.

I've worked at Glastonbury Festival for many years. The organization behind that is frankly stunning and complex. NOTHING like this clown show. Also, over the course of the long weekend you get 1000 acts, across many stages, including comedy, theatre and god knows what else. All for a simialr amount of money these absolutel fools are charging. It's shokcing how gullible people are throwing money at absolutely nothing.

I love Metallica's music. I even have them tattooed on my body but fuck, for a band that was all for the fans, they have embraced the name as a brand now. They were recently under fire due to them funding venture capital firms to buy artists' music rights. This came after Metallica had made a huge deal about how "In the 80s, you got played because you didn't even own the rights to your own music" and bought their Master Recordings from Warner Bros to release their music under their own label. It's gross to see the money corrupt even the people who swore would never allow it to happen to them. Still love their music.

They had to keep appearances and make the new place look "better" than the old place. That rent's up at the end of the year which would explain why they're going "travelling" in 2023. The sold out part is all Marketing. You say it's sold out now and when they go on sale again, you raise the price to give the appearance of rarity and high demand. Then, you make even more money. They're basically scalping their own tickets.
