I started working in a restaurant at 16 and a continued to work in many restaurants & bars over the past 10 years as a waitress & bartender. It’s constantly under staffed, long shifts on your feet all day and being nice to some of the most entitled people out there. For whatever reason some people treat customer service working like trash. People act like they’re your only table, their the only people who matter and when someone doesn’t like the food they decide to get somehow it’s my fault like I’m the one who made it. It’s a thankless job. Tips can be good but can also suck ass. We tip out the rest of the staff based on % of sales not % of tips, so when that table with a $ 50, 100+ tab doesn’t tip, I’m still tipping out the staff of my pocket now. There was only 2 places I worked where you got a free meal that day for working. All other places you paid for your food some where 20% , 30%, and the most was 50% off. I feel so bad for all the people who lost their job in this industry due to corona and now that some are opening up it’s only every other table that can be used due to social distancing. That alone everybody’s income is already cut in half. These Ace family fucks have no idea how the real world is. I wish I didn’t have to work while I was still in high school, I wish I was sent to college, all paid for, and didn’t need a job while I was in college. I graduated high school early just so I could work more. Then I went to community college for 1 year while I worked the whole time. I only went 1 year because it’s all I could pay for while still trying to pay rent, electricity, water, gas, insurance, etc.

I can’t believe they made it through college. Seems like they know a lot about making people mad verses making a long term profitable business.

EVERYTHING can be taken out of context, he shouldn't be promoting to his child physical touch that is something other then a loving interaction, i grantee he touches his wife that way too, that is appropriate, but to do so in front of your child to TO your child.. some people just shouldn't be in the limelight.

I work at KFC/Long John Silver's, and we don't get breaks. Not even for lunch. Basically, our breaks come whenever we have a lull, which isn't very often at all. Standing in one spot for seven hours without being allowed even a moment to sit *really* sucks. Does anyone else in fast food have to deal with this, or are my bosses just assholes?

When I worked in a restaurant... If there was a mess up, someone would take it to the tiny break table (with no chairs) In the back and everyone would run back there really fast to eat off of it . there would be like 10 forks in it. Then there was always a torn up loaf of bread back there with some pesto ranch that everyone would just rip peices off of

I worked for a little over a year at a cold cut counter, and I remember having a strict "don't consume the product policy". I followed that rule even after I got lightheaded from being so hungry, I would never eat a morsel I didn't purchase myself. I like to think that was a product of my upbringing, where I value integrity and sacrifice for my reputation as a hard worker. My manager, who worked there for 6 years, got fired two weeks after I left for college. She was caught eating some ham a customer changed their mind on and ate it in the backroom instead of throwing it away. ACE family is essentially making light of the struggles people have, but knowing them they can't empathize with the plebian cuz they have always been the patrician

Man i remember working 2 jobs as a dishwasher i worked 2 shifts with no breaks (because i clocked out and went back to work) i didn't take a break all day to the point of me puking practically nothing because i puked everything i had the chef made food for me at my second job but i didn't eat until i went home in the dark while everyone was asleep i worked from morning to night time with no food or break oh my God was that so much fun I'd do it again again again and again because who wouldn't want to be surrounded by dirty dishes that make you gag while taking on hours worth of dishes because the other guy had a second job and the manager didn't schedule anyone else until 4pm ahhhh the golden days

Holy shit. There were no cameras allowed at the factory I worked at to be taken without permission. The only ones allowed were some of the member in Quality and Management. If they caught you chances are they would fire you. I was in Quality so I was allowed to use my phone or the lab provided camera. But people would upload a one sided picture examples and within a couple of hours they got fired.

7:58 THIS. I’m a pizza deliverer and no joke there’s no lunch break. Like it’s just go go go with the orders and you pray the chef messes up on a pizza that way all of us employees are able to take slices on the go🤞😭🤞

The one restaurant that I worked at we were supposed to get one half off meal a day but the FOH manager usually let us eat for free on the down low. Honestly, he was probably one of the best managers I've ever worked for lol
