I like this idea, but 1 problem with it is that there are soo many legendary dogs. Not many legendary cats that I can think of. Might make it a little imbalanced

Dragonite and Charizard can both learn Fire Blast, and if by some stroke of RNG they both had the same Special Attack stat and used Fire Blast, Charizard's would hit 50% harder than Dragonite's because Charizard is a fire type but Dragonite isn't. Land's Wrath is a physical earth type attack that has a power of 90, Vine Whip is a physical grass type attack with a power of 45. But because of STAB Vine Whip is powered up 50%, taking it to 67.5! Because Blastoise is weak to grass attacks Vine Whip's power is doubled to from 67.5 to 135! That's means it's hitting stronger than several 5 PP moves and/or moves that do recoil; Fire Blast has a base power of 110, Take Down is 90. Never underestimate STAB.
