As a german, I'm always amused by non german speakers pronouncing Pokémon names, It's either very impressive when they pronounce them how it's supposed to be, or when they butcher them and it gets very funny

The funny thing is Noivern's German name is actually written like this: *UHaFnir* Which is actually based on UHF (Ultra High Frequency)

in case someone is interested, here are the possible origins of the German Pokemon names in the video: Swoobat: Fletiamo = Fledermaus + ti amo (bat + "i love you" in Italian) Qwilfish: Baldorfish = Ballon + Dorn + Fisch (balloon + thorn/spike/spine + Fish) "Fisch" and "Fish" are basically pronounced the same, so they just went with Fish instead - maybe because it's shorter. Salamence: Brutalanda = Brutal + Salamander (-er endings in German words are basically pronounced like -a anyways, and it makes it shorter) Incineroar: Fuegro = Fuego + tigre, grosero or growl ("fire" in Spanish, and "tiger" in Spanish, or "gross"/"nasty"/"rude" in Spanish, or "growl") Excadrill: Stalobor = Stahl + Bohrer (steel + drill) Aromatisse: Parfinesse = Parfüm + Finesse (perfume + finesse) Mr. Mime: Pantimos = Pantomime + os (mime + os) "os" is a greek masculine suffix. Spheal: Seemops = Seehund + Mops (Seal + Pug) This is cool. "Seehund" means Seal, and consists of "See" (Sea) and "Hund" (dog). So Spheal is a "Sea pug" instead of a "Sea dog". Also, Rollmops is the name for a type of food, pickled herring fillets *rolled* into a cylindrical shape. Spheal also likes to *roll*. Coincidence? Cleffa: Pii = uhm..just like the Japanese name, Pi(xie). Seemops is a combination of see = sea an mops= pug ( a dog). Also a Rollmops ist a meal made of fish. I really like that name.

Battle Idea: 3 starters, you each make a pick then flip a coin. Heads its chillens pick, tails it quicks. Whatever way the coin ends up determines which mon you get that round.

Most german Pokémon names are based on wordplay. Example : "Hokumil" *Hoku* spokus+ *Mil* ch = Hokumil It's a combination of the german terms for magic and milk.

So what if you don't only give the name in another language but all of the pokemons moves and ability are given in that language, and yes you can ask for typings of moves but theses are also given in the language. that would take the selection to the next level, you not only have to guess what you get but also what it has.

Noibat: eF-eM -> spoken like "FM", meaning frequency modulation Noivern: UHaFnir -> UHF (H is called "ha" instead of "age" as a letter), meaning ultra high frequency, plus Fafnir, the name of a dragon in nordic Mythology Confused me at first, especially with the capitalisation, but it's a hell of a lot cooler than noise+bat and noise+wyvern, imho. Snobilikat also works in English. Snob + nobility + cat.

Idk if this has been done, but a team of whatever Pokémon you want using only Metronome would be very entertaining.

Idea: De@th Match. You catch a team and set them in a specific order before the battle. You are not allowed to switch out and your Pokemon can only be sent out in the order they were arranged in before the battle

Just so you know , steely spirit does work in single battle . Perserker has it and people usually run a steel spirit iron head set which makes iron head base power from 80 to 120 if I am correct .(it’s increased by 1.5x I think ).
