Rod Saboury's pro street 69 Camaro goes EFI and returns to the Street Machine Nationals 34 years after winning best engine, best interior and best car in 1984.
Brilliant....... I've decided to try & go blown EFI with a hat on a 327 in a 68 Camaro.... thought I'd plug into RU-vid.... and I come across these two awesome guys. A fellow with Mr Saboury's experience and history of successes who is still a decent normal guy and a happy Aussie whom I hope to converse with at some stage as I'm in Melbourne. I loved the article but I am also in awe of two great guys. You've given me the confidence to do it, it looks fantastic in/out of a Camaro and the driveability speaks for itself. Thanks so much for doing the session & posting this. The very best of health and well wishes to you both. Best regards, Steve. Melbourne, Australia.
When I was in high school, I used to draw Hearses and they were always hot rodded out with big tires and wheels in the back, side pipes, and yes I always drew the blower sticking through the hood.
Not sure why this video doesn’t have a load more views. Just awesome stuff mate. Must be really nice flying the Aussie flag working on cars that will always be remembered for innovation - what you guys are doing at V12LS is much the same. Top stuff! Big fan, would love to see one of your donks in Sydney one day 👍🏽
Cool to see this video. I love that he bought it new and still has it and all the history behind it. Haven't seen Rod for many years. Glad to know he is doing well.
