Do you guys have any advice for a mechanical engineering student that wants to get into this trade? I want to get my degree but I don’t want to be stuck behind a desk. I want to be working on and with these machines. Thanks, and absolutely love the channel!

My comment might not apply since I am US based. I would try to take classes that offer hands on experience at your Uni, if that's not available than a part time job preferably in a job shop. I'd highly recommend avoiding places with a majority of CNCs that use proprietary G&M code.

@ Thanks for the input!I wasn’t aware of proprietary G&M codes. I’ll definitely look into some more classes and see if I can’t get some more experience at a job shop. Thank you!

Look at the building blocks on our academy.TitansofCNC.com and when you click on the first tutorial, you will see all the documentation pop up…Do the CAD and CAM… we have software under our resources page that’s almost free. Then you can find a Titans small group that will allow you to machine your part that you programmed. Or you can buy a small machine at some point. All Engineers should learn the manufacturing process. We are also selling small machines now. Thanks for the great comment. Titan

As always good podcast and very nice to have another machine shop come on the show you've had the machine builders and tooling reps on the show but to have the outside "competition " machine shop is a good step in the right direction where younger teenage generation showing this show will probably consider this trade even more and probably follow a fathers or uncles or cousins steps into this trade
