American House restorations Are so „easy“ compared to our solid stone and concrete walls in Europe. Getting rid of a wall is a hell lot of work with heavy machines here.

Hi Hannah. I don’t know how your channel was in my recommended, but here I am bingeing your videos. In one of the videos I just watched, y’all changed your prayers to those of true faith that it would happen. In all my time watching different channels, I’ve never heard a RU-vidr talk about prayer and faith. It was such a breath of fresh air to hear that. That’s exactly how I live my life, and always pray for an overflow of faith. That cinched it for me and I subbed right away. It’s your house and you should do what you think is cozy but I think removing the extra bench/Kick out in the hallway. It would make the hallway more open and I think it would be odd to have a little bench seating area in a hallway.

I would have to agree as well. Definitely remove that "small bench" in the hallway to give you more walking space.

I don’t know, but having a little spot like that with little children around is always welcome! Especially for things like putting on shoes, doing time-out, etc.

It's amazing how much work you two got done in 2 days! Good job! We ended up putting a pocket door in our master bathroom for the same reason as you. We had so many doors that it was too crowded in our bedroom for the standard door setup. I can't wait to see what you do with your bedroom closets! I love home renovation videos.

You made a good call opening that living area up. I noticed immediately how short some of those arched doorways were too. The one arch you have next to the fireplace is super cute and will so much fun to decorate! can't wait to see your progress on this house. It will be a ton of work but it's also so much fun to put your own personalized touch into a house like this!

I think you should re-make the little bench in the hallway but make it where it has a lid and use it for storage, maybe to hold covers and such

The little nook where you took out the shelves, you should put hooks on it for guests to put their jackets or anything like that. If you get the double hooks you can put garland and lights on the top hook and they can use the bottom part of it. Make the arched bench your “pretty bench”! Just an idea!

I’m not sure how involved you’ll be in the renovations, but if you’re going to be around the dust, dirt, etc, I would advise covering your hair. Mine got so destroyed during our Reno even though I wore it up. It was impossible to comb after a while and even with hydrating oils and conditioners and such, it was horrible. I finally just had to cut some it off.

I would say to remove all The way to the floor in that little opening in the hallway and pictures would be absolutely beautiful there!💗 The only thing I would say about the bathroom is when you’re using the toilet you might want some privacy but otherwise everything looks so great and I can’t wait to see your ranch style farmhouse vision! So happy for your family💗

So much drywall work! 😱 At least you won’t be living in that dust it’s brutal. And if you’re redoing all of the walls anyways I would recommend smooth coat it looks great and you can cover holes much easier than to match texture. Just an idea!

You could keep the drywall as a bench where you want family photos. Then the other area around the corner, where you wanted to do a bench and a mirror- just do a entryway table and a mirror

Have you thought about knocking down the wall to the kitchen & putting a big island w/ seating where that wall is & instead of expanding the peninsula, removing it & expanding the cabinets alongside the wall ? So instead of a galley kitcken, it's more open ? I'm curious what you're going to do w/ the closets in the master

Looking great. I would get rid of the shower and put a big tub there with a shower duo. Then you don’t need to drill a new drain and it will open it up even more.

Looks nice! Like the bench idea in the archway or you could install cabinets in there on the floor (built ins) that are bench height - put a cushion on top for seating & the cabinets are useful storage....then possibly add shelves on the 2 sides w/lamps to make it a cozy reading nook. Are you going to demo the kitchen ceiling to raise it up like you did by the door?

Anna Shimell I was coming to suggest the same thing. I know it seems convenient to have just the cased opening, but keeping the sounds & steam from the bathroom behind a door is something to consider. Looking GREAT so far!!

Wow! You two got a LOT done! It is so much brighter, already. Imagine once those garish paint colors are gone! For that space you mentioned, you could put hooks for jackets, and cubbys down below, for the boys. Or a built in bookcase.

I’m sorry I’m just now watching part 1 of the demo!! I know it’s been a while since this video but girl, I know how crazy it is tearing down walls and redoing a house! When we bought our house we Redid the whole entire thing! Well except for the basement because that is my husbands man cave so he was fine with it lol. Y’all are doing great! Can’t wait to keep watching and see all the progress! Ohh and I would totally leave that as a little bench when you walk in the front door! You could hang some sort of rack to hang coats on it and use the bench to put shoes on or take them off! I think that would be a neat idea!

So much fun , when my husband and I bought out first home , we had and we still need to fix a lot of stuff . I couldn’t do anything because I was so pregnant with my fist child. I believe I was 8 months pregnant. I used to see the guys do everything I have so many pictures of my house how it used to look and how looks now . So much changes ❤️. I can’t wait to do more😭❤️.
