#Hinch was amazing in traffic. This is why he won, because he meticulously sliced through traffic to get the win. Wish it had finished green because if you remember Hinchcliffes win in long beach, he mastered the restart at the end.

So, what ever happened with the Boston Indycar race? Never understood why it was scheduled, Boston streets are terrible...

Indycar needs to give a solid confirmation on whether they will go back racing or not before opening pit road. Nobody wants to see drivers pit and then have the race finish under yellow. If Hinch would have pitted that would have been a disaster! Although there are disadvantages to green-white-checkered finishes, one advantage is that there is a guarantee that there will be at least two more laps after the caution, and Indycar could take as long as needed to make the track clean and safe after a crash.

Wave arounds should only be for lapped cars who didn’t pit when the leaders did. Instead of doing an overtime deal why not just make caution laps not count after 20 to go?

Jay Frye said they thought they would restart at 298. That would have taken a miracle. It was 3 min exactly from yellow to 298. 3:48 to 299. To restart at 298 they would have had to collect, clean, etc. in 2:30. No way! Even 3:15 for 1-lap green would have been difficult.

Yes and no agree with you about the way the wave around rule works in indycar, that being said when it comes to GWC's no. I am a firm believer and you are owed at least 1 attempt at one.

Well if anyone can remember a situation like the 07 Nashville race where lap cars basically cost Dario, and Danica a chance out of a win because of lap cars blocking. I remember there were 3 1 lap down cars in front of Dario, and Ed carpenter who was 3 laps down blocking Danica and Hornish but I would rather see a green flag finish then not have them go back green

While i was frustrated that Newgarden didn't get a shot at Hinch I will agree on this if a race is scheduled for 300 laps it goes that exact distance look how many drivers have lost races in Nascar due to the silly green white checker

Hinch didn't put on a clinic. When you lead 90% of the laps and can drive any line then yes but Newgarden lead most of the race and Hinch eventually caught up and did an amazing job to stay up front

Iowa needs a cup race soon along with a few other tracks. Obviously you would need some renovations like more stands. The earliest new tracks can be added is 2021 when in 2020 track contracts expire. As for IndyCar it's no fun to end a race under yellow so so yeah go with overtime green white checkers.

The only thing I disagree with you is the lap cars at the end of the race why does it matter if there waved around I don't know how many times back in the day lapped cars in between cars on the lead lap ruin the finish because there not respecting the leaders battling it out they need to be in the back on restarts with 20 to go or less

As a purist, I see both sides of the wave around. One part wants the old days where you just lined up where you lined up. The other says let's pack up the leaders and fight. I guess I'm so conditioned to the latter that the former would seem foreign at this point.

Is anyone else hearing a pretty severe hum in this video? It's actually overwhelming David's voice on my setup. It's honestly unwatchable. I've listened to multiple other pieces of audio to confirm, and it's just this video (and only when David's mic is active). EDIT: I just tried my phone, and the buzz is still there. It's at least watchable.
