@LBJoverMJ-EnterTheTWINSthats a joke. At least he didnt play against juiceheads. Lebron didnt evenface a 50 win yeam til he went to conference finals in east.
@LBJoverMJ-EnterTheTWINS The crackheads were long gone before MJ started winning titles. Just admit that you don't actually know shit about anything before this era and be done with it. Calling it an "expansion era" when there are far more teams now is pretty goddamned hilarious. The average NBA score is 23 points higher now than in LeBron's rookie year, which means absolutely no defense is being played, and he still only has one scoring title, and when this season ends, he'll have won a title less than 20% of his seasons. Why don't you admit that LeBron can't shoot outside of three feet from the rim, and doesn't have a problem getting there with like two real bigs and no defense being played -- and LeBron hasn't played defense in A FULL DECADE NOW.

Every time today's fans give me that "Bigger, Faster, Stronger" bullshit, I ask them, "Then why are two of the most UNATHLETIC dudes in the NBA (Nikola Jokic and Luka Doncic) dominating the league? Are these guys your idea of "Bigger, Faster, Stronger"?🤣
True! And also, with all their physical superiority, the load management and no defense, how do they spend so much time injured on the bench? This era is full of fake and unreliable professionals
and to this day no one is bigger, faster, stronger than wilt was. they swear humans have actually evolved (they use this word themselves💀) in the last 40 years.
Because of something called just flat out being a great shooter !!! You don’t need to be athletic & fast to shoot the ball , yall ppl really don’t kno ball

@@BostonRedSoxForever Except it's really not working with anyone outside of Gen-Z, because the rest of us remember what competitive and tough basketball actually looked like.
I would only add this quote from Larry. Mike, Kobe, and MANY others: “Keep the game the way you found it and it can go on for all generations to come.”. Players today are literally doing the exact opposite, and it is why the league is failing, and it is disgusting that none of them seem to care as long as THEY get paid. James being the posterboy for such despicable attitudes and behaviors. Keep up the great work, bro.
none seem to care about what? Exactly what? They shoot 3s better than any era did. That's boring to watch, but that seems to work. And I'm afraid the better accuracy gets the more 3s there will be, so if nothing will be changed it will go even further to that direction.
@@Lokalo1 there is a way to play the game, and today's players don't play the right way. There are no fundamentals. No defense. No hustle. No pride in working hard. And if you don't think the complete lack of defense has anything to do with being able to hit shots, you literally don't know anything about the actual game of basketball. Today's players use the game for fame and money. They don't add any value, as is obvious by the viewership numbers dropping, PRECIPITOUSLY. The fact that you don't see any of this, is why people don't respect the opinions offered up. They are myopic and riddled with cognitive dissonance at best.
@LBJoverMJ-EnterTheTWINS Oh, the race card again! How cute! You're hopeless and pretty dumb, too. Skap has been constantly praising Kobe, MJ, Bill Russell, Dr. J, Magic Johnson, etc. As far as I know, these guys have been black their entire life. P.S.: Don't forget to vote for Biden, since he definitely IS NOT a racist (irony/sarcasm off).
Not really. They couldn’t go left and had very little in terms of skill shooting wise or creation wise. It looks like defense is being played bc offensively they’re so garbage
@@danielbattle7620 you do know that the rules were different back then right? Its much harder to dribble or create a shot when someone can have their hand on you which make defending 10times easier. The no hand checking rule made it much easier to create shots or attack in general.
@@markogjorgiev4912 lol. I saw iverson. You obviously have no idea what you’re talking about either. Both Jordan and Kobe complained abt zone defense. Jordan went to the nba commission and said he’d rather be hand checked by 3 dudes at once then play against zone. But yes! Let’s continue spouting false narratives about how defense was “so much harder!” You guys just don’t know basketball and hate the modern nba without understanding the facts of the situation
In ancient Rome there was a practice called "damnatio memoriae" which means erasing all mentions of a public figure from records, essentially making that figure nonexistent in history, because such figure was so reviled and hated. Adam Silver is the kind of guy who deserves that treatment.
Damnatio Memoriae does not erase in the literal sense. What happens is that the person who gets the Damnatio Memoriae treatment is remembered negatively forever because they are so reviled and hated. Anyways Adam Silver does deserve a Damnatio Memoriae! He should be remembered as an example of what not to do as a commissioner. The only saving grace for Adam Silver is that the other sports Commissioners of this era are 1000000x worse.
I remember when I was a fan of Lebron. I was 3 years ahead of him in age. Cheered for him, respected him, until the decision. Always thought maybe he’d get it together, but that “decision” was too far. Btw, actually went to 3 games prime Jordan played and also met him at a Nike camp. People truly don’t understand the greatness we truly witnessed and the greatness that followed him that was Kobe. Long live MJ, and God speed Kobe.
@@FGBduck6 Very common shooting for Wing/Guard rookies. Congrats, you've made this entire comment section look even more ignorant to basic facts. LeBron Haters Ina nutshell
You hit all the points. If the 90s were trash and this era is the greatest, why is it viewership was at its peak in the 90s, and it's at its lowest today? Why do you have to incentivize players to play and compete today? All this while saying they couldn't go left? These players can't play 65 games. Besides, a 10 scoring, 2 three peat champ, that can't go left is a scary prospect. Imagine if he could go left.
I don't see a problem with it at all. As someone who was born in 2004, I'm more into this era of basketball and this era growing up, and I love it a lot, to be honest. I know that I'm gonna get a lot of criticism, but I kinda really don't care, though. I love this era basketball more. That's just my opinion, especially with the high scoring and with the shooting 3s, which I absolutely love. I'm just getting started with the 2020s
The funny thing is though... Jordan COULD go left. At the start of his career it was a little off but he cleaned it up and had zero issues with it later on because the dude wasn't dumb, all the teams he played against tried pushing him left... so what did he do? Practiced his ass off to make sure that was no longer something they could try to rely on. Some of the best plays I've seen him make was him going left lol. Saddest part of this entire thing is that these kids cherry pick what they think they need and don't due ACTUAL diligent research. That entire "can't go left" video was done with ONE game and it was his very first championship series against the Lakers lol. It's pretty hilarious though that at this point they've lost this debate so badly that they are now using dumb sh** like "he wasn't good with his left hand" 😂.
They are truly reaching with the "can't go left" shit, and mostly just because my hometown Pistons talked about how they forced him left because he didn't prefer it... and then he beat our asses like red-headed stepchildren to where we walked off the court like them. Michael Jordan was likely the most fundamentally perfect player in the history of fundamentals, honestly.
Haha great point. And Jordan still was scoring more in a league where nightly averages were in the mid 90s than LeBron has scored when averages were 20 ppg higher. The biggest thing destroying these kids arguments right now is Nikola Jokic. We need to protect and cherish this guy. Single handedly defeating this crap narrative.
2020s nba is a reflection of the attitude of the young generation: “Blame and mock the older generations, and make excuses about shortcomings and not accept responsibilities and defeat”
That’s why I turned on Lebron. He never took responsibility for his own shortcomings, instead he just added even more talent to his roster instead of improving his own skillset
@@nydibs yeah it’s super annoying and pathetic… But I am sometimes impressed on how successfully he has leveraged the media to spin whatever narrative he wants, like a corrupt politician or something
If the NBA players are so good now, how come they perform so badly during international tournaments, sometimes against team with no NBA players? Because FIBA rules are close to NBA 90’s rules. They don’t play easy mode in FIBA rules.
It was great when Luka came out and laughed as he said it is far harder to score in Europe than it is in the NBA... just like you are so right about FIBA. It took the player most like MJ to get these guys like LeBron back on track and actually winning gold medals, to where they literally had to be called the Redeem Team because they were choking so bad against far less talented teams internationally! It's even better when "old heads" (I'm 45) like me remember that the whole reason they got rid of illegal defense and the hand check in the first place is they were worried no perimeter stars would ever dominate like MJ again, and so they changed the rules to try to maintain the excitement in the league!
Almost 24 hours after releasing “We Done with the 90s”, Skap Attack has created a good sequel. I’m glad I don’t watch the NBA anymore, it’s just not worth it. That’s why my generation’s GOAT is Kobe. At least I’m proud to say it. I’ll stand with MJ as the true GOAT too. Thankful this decade has one true King - JOKER! And only a few true players who care (Giannis and Luka).
@@Kings0424 Alright then. If you wanna watch some real basketball, I'd have some nice links for you here on RU-vid. But I wanna warn you: in those videos, they are actually playing real defense, plus they really care about winning! It's not for everyone!
jordan not having a left hand is ultra cope. he literal highest paid nba player of all time actually does have no left hand and his name's jaylen brown.
NBA coaches and some players are tired of the commissioner because he fines them of free speech but he does not punish the refs of making bad calls and that ruins the game of basketball
@@BatmanBeyondBelief I recommend catching a Nuggets playoff game in June. They’re like the 2000’s Spurs: great ball movement and energy led by a very special big man. You have to see Jocic, one of the greatest ever with a truly unique style and he could hang it up any year now to just go ride horses with his family. He’s done with the 2020’s too 😂
LeBalco started the super team trend. So if we went back in time and removed him I’d be a little better. Although, now everyone is doing the super teams. So you’d have to remove more than LeFlop.
@@CarterBrady1the Celtics started the big 3 and LeBron went to Miami and formed a his own big 3 to counter them. Kevin Durant? Well he joined the super team that beat him so he didn’t faced them in the playoffs anymore
YEARS from now, real sports fans will still be talking about the Magic & Bird era, the Jordan era, the Kobe era and the list goes on. However, the Lebixxh era is gonna be a history sports fans much rather forget about, because the real one's will do their research and see how one pathetic ass ball player. Killed the greatness of professional basketball.
He took shortcuts that were unimaginable for former players. He took all of them to prolong his career and build his businesses. The former greats were focused on the game. Lebron abused his power and turned the league into mush.
@@brianharron3435 Made a good point on all time leading scorer but funny how u left out the all time leading turnovers in NBA history. #2 most missed shots and Lebron is in the top 3 worst finals record in the NBA 😂. The sad thing is all of the people saying they're done with the 90's obviously can't see how badly Lebron is a loser and not skilled for someone who so-called "dominated" his era. Lebron played so bad in his first Olympic stint he was sat down because he stunk it up so bad. Bronze. He went back AGAIN and thought he could dunk his way to gold. BRONZE! But Kobe showed up the third stint and saved this man from being a 3 time loser to 9-to-5vers! If Lebron had to win the way MJ and Kobe won titles, he wouldn't even have one. This man has been playing on a graded curve his entire career. Keep at it Skap!!💪😎👍#WeDoneWithThe2020s #WeDoneWithLebron
You know it’s so funny to me about the we done with the 90s crowd? Even if their premise is that nobody played defense in the 90s, nobody plays defense today! I love the game of basketball and I don’t understand why we can’t appreciate the legends from the past. People forget that if Oscar Robertson did not fight to become a free agent, all these guys would not be making the money they are today.
I do not understand how Lebron James can be considered in the goat conversation. This man wasn’t even the more dominant player of this era. Stephan Curry pioneered the « smart ball era » and was the most successful player of this era. Jokic was the best player of this era. So, how can you mount a case in which you consider Lebron as the goat? Jordan had to beat Magic Johnson head-to-head and win five championships before passing him. So why does Lebum James losing 3 out of 4 against Curry make him better than him? This man should not even be in a top 5 all-time debate.
They always say theyre more skilled and athletic yet the players are not efficient they got room 3ft best wide open no pressure when the defender literally cant defend 1ft away using his hands, skilled dribbling? Yea cause they travel and carry. If the Rules were strict, if AND1 ballers in the 90s try to play in the NBA they wont be able to compete cause their moves are sealed off. Kyrie harden giannis their moves are a violation in the 90s rules

He does it with a high basketball IQ. Like, in martial arts, you don't fight strength with strength, you go around, redirect or exploit the weak points. That's exactly what Nicola does.
KD's "performance" in the 1st round vs Celtics is all you need to see. They gave him a taste of 90s defense and he looked like a spaghetti in the wind!
