New subscriber here, when I first came across your channel, I thought that it was a TV show someone had posted on RU-vid! Great content! And y'all have something else that most people on RU-vid don't have: you come across as real, ordinary people, with no overdone acting, or crazy behavior(and no foul language, which is much appreciated). Just ordinary, friendly folks doing an honest days work and having fun while you do it. My Dad spent some time out in Utah and Wyoming when he was my age, 19. He fell in love with the country in that area as well as the people. Now I know why. Thanks for reading!

Had this happen before on the trail. It's not the best fix, but it got it out of the woods to the trailer. Pretty common for the dana 30s to pop off the knuckle when the u joint breaks. What we did was hammer / drill them out and use 1/2'' bolts to act as a really lose king pin. And then put in a stub shaft so the wheel bearing didn't fall apart. It wasn't fast but it worked

I just hope they're CB or MURS because FRS/GMRS is illegal to use for business. Many people don't know that. The odds of an enforcement action are low, but the visibility is high here, so.....I hope they're CB or MURS, or possibly a dedicated frequency they licensed, though out that far CB and MURS would both be dandy solutions.

@@scottibass I think that they are going to end up with a wrecker that is similar to the one that Rory Irish of Moab Motor Sports uses ( Trail Mater ). Then again , there MAY be another solution . A couple days ago , I saw a video that Casey Lofthouse ( CORR) put out, where he used a small " hoist" on the back of his Jeep , to haul a side by side . Now , a side by side doesn`t weigh what this towed Jeep does , so that may not work . However , the Morvair is heavier than Casey`s Jeep , so it might work .

Congrats on the sand slider idea. Not the only use of an old hood I've seen. "Back In the Day"....... when I was little and before people realized you could use inner tubes to slide in the snow, my dad stuck us on an old car hood and sent us downhill. Still the fastest and scariest ride I've ever been on.

I'm honestly surprised they didn't ratchet strap the axle up into RF corner to help lift the front of the jeep. Could even do the same in the LR corner

I love Matt but it is so awesome to see how well he has passed on his skills to his crew, and they are more than able to handle the rescues. We miss you Matt but love still seeing the crew.

Great to see all the teams keeping things going. I can't believe that they have the nuclear engineer running through the desert with a hood over his head! 😂 Now for the $10,000 question...Where's Rudy? 🥺

I was wondering the same thing. Where is Rudy? He wasn't mentioned when they were talking about where everyone was.

Its surprising that MORR hasent fabbed up a 'sled' or two for this exact purpose. Something with an upturned nose to stay on top of the sand and a few hooks or loops to chain it to the vehicle, almost like a steel toboggan or snowboard.

I was thinking the same, but with the upgraded idea that included a track or wheels

He's the only one of Matt's kids who don't have red hair, and yet you call him Red, lol, I've seen that kid doing rescues with his Dad since forever, I never even knew he was Matt's kid for the longest, by the time he gets grown, he'll know everything there is to know about getting vehicles out of the sand, great video guys, thanks for sharing.

Man, I wish I wasn't 68. I'd love to work for Matt, and hang out with that crew. Bought my first Jeep 50 years ago. They are living the dream, I couldn't figure out how to do.
