⤈ WHO WE ARE ⤈
We are Philly and Keely and we live full time in our tiny home on wheels Martha. After building our DIY home in a Citroen Relay camper we spent a year living on the streets of London before quitting our jobs only to be met with lockdown. Then we took our van further than she had ever been before to the very beautiful Turkey. Enroute, we stopped off in Spain for a few weeks where we experienced every van lifers worst nightmare, we were robbed and they stole all valuables in our van. But then we were back on our feet, fully MOT’d and back on the road through Europe before we experienced another vanlife nightmare... our van caught fire!! After the trauma of that we had a massive change of plan and made our way to Japan. We enjoyed a three-month Japanese Adventure and then got back to Martha for some new European Adventures. After an incredible three-month Scottish road trip, we have now packed up our van and are heading to Australia for a new van life adventure!

No silly quip from me today guys, because uluru is so steeped in aboriginal history and culture, their equivalent of stone henge in the UK (,but obviously much much older) and the history of the caves and the change in colour at sunset makes this a truly remarkable rock. 😎👌👍

I have to be honest guys (to quote Keely 😉) this actually brought tears to my eyes too. It's been on my bucket list ever since I started my caravan life here in Australia to see Uluru and you beat me to it! Kinda embarrassing seeing as I'm Australian! It's the beating heart of this ancient land and it was so magical to see it through your eyes and feel the emotion in your reactions. Absolutely top job you two, epic drone shots, really enjoyed taking that drive with you. Could barely sleep last night in anticipation of this extra special chapter... Well done Philly and Keely and Dingo. ❤ 👏 👏👏

What an amazing sight but Keeley you looked dangerously hot! Look out for some neck coolers, they’re gel filled tubes you hydrate in water and just sling them round your neck and work a treat. You guys have some serious stamina and nerves of steel well done, can’t wait to see where you end up next week!

@@phillyandkeely It’s interesting you mentioned Christmas in OZ. I have a cousin who was born and bred in Belfast, married a Dutch/ Australian wife, lived in Sydney for 10 years before coming home again. He could never get used to Christmas Day on the beach with Christmas dinner being BBQ, there’s just something not right about it for us Irish folk…. I hope you’re heading for cooler climates soon, take care and stay cool you krazy kidz!

I don't know if you missed it or couldn't film it, but from the women's cave back to the carpark, one of the pathsf is practically a rainforest, and there is a pool somewhere around there too (not sure if it was before or after the cave), I don't think you could swim in the pool though. If you ever go back, or for anyone reading this planning on going, the National Park acturally has indigenous people give walking tours to that area from the car park a couple of times a day FREE of charge. 100% worth doing.

I probably would too 🤣🤣🤣🐊🐊🐊not a fan of emus though haha, they scare me. Nature is very special and it's so lovely to see so much wild still in Australia. Not much wilderness left where we are from, people think green fields are wild, it's just monocropped agricultural land, not even got wildflowers in them. Australian may seem barren but it's very wild and free feeling and I respect that more than fenced off fields.

Uluru is definitely top of the list of things I would see visiting Australia. 🥹🥹🥹 Such a sacred, beautiful place. Great shout going by foot and not by Segway. Something about the thought of being there makes me think it shouldn't be made easy, there should be some physical effort required. Plus, they would have made Philly take off his Sooper cool hat for the helmet. ❤❤✌️🤠xx

Yeah I agree, the effort is required in such a place. And yessss never even thought about the hat having to come off, definite no no 🤣🤣

Hi Philly and Keely. So glad that you got to visit Uluru. This brings back so many great memories. My wife and I had our honeymoon in Australia. We saw Uluru at sunset probably from the same viewing area. We then did a Sunrise walk around the base of the rock. It was a guided tour and we were told of some of the sacred parts along the way. At the time people could still climb the rock but we didn’t do that out of respect for the indigenous people. Sending you hugs 🥰 Take care. Nick

Another great vlog you two . Uluru is so strange but so cool , Keely not so cool 🥵☀️please be careful you don’t get sunstroke , I’ve had it a couple of times and it is not nice 🥵🫠😩. So glad Dingo got you there ( told you Toyotas or Hondas were the best 😊) hope your cool little van will see you good through all your adventures in Australia . Watching you tonight from Cumbria with an amber warning for gales and possible tornados 🌪️ and plenty of rain . Maybe we could meet with the weather somewhere in the middle 😁 hope you have an awesome week on your travels x

I feel your heat, I use to live in a desert city for several years and it would sometimes reach 120 F. I'm out here in the desert right know with thousands of camper rigs for an annual event, it's awesome. That camel was so sweet. I hear they will sometimes spit on you but I think you won it over with your kindness. Glad you were able to take in Uluru and that special moment when the sun goes down, something you'll never forget. Safe travels.

So many people fall for Mount Connor being Uluru on the way there! You can stop at the lookout and cross over to the other side, climb the red sand dunes and overlook a huge dry salt lake bed. Salt water in the middle of Australia?? I used to get paid to work around Uluru, and still go back whenever I can. So beautiful seeing it again, thank you. Welcome to my beautiful (adopted) Northern Territory!
