I'm still convinced that the real reason for Ela leaving to join Nighthaven is as a plant to keep track of their movements for Team Rainbow. She's proficient in undercover work and using her antagonistic relationship with her sister is the perfect cover story.

Smoke liking change has always been his personality. But the bit about his daughter is probably the real reason he joined. From what I’m hearing she is probably under some kind of witness protection type of thing and if things get heated, Nighthaven can get her out of the situation better then Rainbow ever could or if at all

I’ll be honest. I don’t trust Nighthaven but more importantly Kali. It just seems like something bigger is going on and our old ops either don’t know or are in on the plan. The whole thing feels weird. Or Harry is bad and rainbow is being led astray. That is a possibility too.

I love how it touches on Aruni want to be somewhere else but wants to be in the field more I feels she wants to be with Thermite but being useful and help people is more important at the moment

I’ve always disliked nighthaven since the beginning, but now I’m indifferent. I used to see them as the bad guys but now I see them the same as rainbow. I can also understand why each of the former rainbow operators left, and can’t be mad at them for doing so. Even though I still dislike Kali, my opinion has improved for her and nighthaven as a whole

I can understand operators leaving Rainbow for personal reasons, but Nighthaven lore will always make me put my head in my hands. You're telling me that multiple of the worlds best of the best in counter terrorism left a special operations unit and went AWOL from their respective governments to join a private military run by someone who has shown that she is willing to sacrifice comrades to get the job done?

Kali used to be a bit of a villain to me, but now I’m seeing her in a morally gray viewpoint instead. All of the NH operators had something holding them back from reaching their true potential, and Kali was able to offer them a chance to finally reach that potential. As much as it may suck that some of the Rainbow operators left, I can’t deny that they seem to be happier in their new home. And on the other end, this is something Kali herself admits. She is driven by rationality. Kali wants people to reach their full potential, though it doesn’t mean she’s driven by empathy or selfishness. Diving more into her rational mindset, the way her recruitment worked was a way to *mutually* benefit the new NH recruits as well as her own company. Most likely, she saw these operators being held back by something and thought about how she could use this to benefit both sides, rather than just them or herself.

Pulse leaving is weird, he comes from a military background and had to breakup with Hibana in order to join nighthaven, I wonder if him, Hibana, and Osami have something planned

I understood how freespirit Operators like Ela and Smoke could leave Rainbow. I know in the lore, the Russians threw a fit because none of them made captain, so Finka leaving is understandable. But what surprised me was IQ leaving and Pulse leaving with out Hiabana. Edit: I just saw a video, I think it’s in the new Nighthaven map. There is a recording Kali talks about Pulse breaking up with Hobana and confirming Pulse is bisexual which explains the responses to my comment.

I barely cared about Siege's lore (because I didn't really think there was a lot of lore besides the surface-level stuff in game). But after your videos and your excitement, it's growing on me. I hope your theory video from a little while ago (about NH being set up by, potentially, the White Masks) is at least partially true. The NH operators have always had a bit of unruliness about them, Kali and Ace especially, but they get the job done, and they wouldn't have joined Rainbow in the first place if they didn't care about helping people.

Yeah it could be related to his daughter, but it could also be Six had a meeting with Smoke about reinforcing the Geneva convention that we do not know about.

The romance and drama going on with Pulse is just weird.

Kali's report on Aruni really highlights the issues with her leadership skills, yes she's good in combat, yes she's able to coordinate attacks, but she only sees people as property, "You had a falling out with your sister? Let's take you away, throw away the key and be finished with her." "Oh you poor thing, you're having identity issues? Well let's make sure you can't see the person you used to love ever." "Oh you made friends with people in a different military, welp you're mine so no defecting." At this point I believe if something were to go wrong she'd lose everything she "owns".

I'm actually quite disappointed that Dokkaebi didn't join Nighthaven. Cause like Kali, i like her kit but i absolutely _despise_ her personality. And it'd be so much easier if all the annoying people were just on one team 😅

Kali only looks out for her own interests and uses ex Rainbow soldiers to achieve these. I trust that Ela is only there because of Harry's instructions and is spying on them.

Man, Idk why but Siege lore is always fun. Some points: It's quite strange how in R6 Extraction, Pulse and Hibana end up marrying and having a kid or two where in this timeline, they seperate (Everyone gotta do Multiverse now lmao) Fuze being interested but backing out is in a way, a good thing. it means that their methods either didn't align with him or maybe he's a double agent as some others say but I doubt it. If Fuze doesn't like nighthaven though, there must be a good reason, considering Ying hates him for his lack of care with Civi's. IQ Makes Sense tbh even though it was the one that surprised me the most in it all at the time. Lastly, I am a subscriber of the theory that the real double agent among them is actually Ela. It's such a simple reason for her to leave, yet in a way, doesn't feel right she did it now. I believe she is undercover considering her past showing she is quite the specialist like bandit, in terms of being undercover, perhaps feeding info directly to Harry, not telling anyone else save for maybe Sam. It will also be interesting to see if Nokk will back out considering Brutal Swarms comic

I get his feeling that when we get rainbow six siege 2 in the future i think they are gonna give up this whole training ground and have it be like rainbow vs night haven instead of it being attackers vs defenders which could lead to new game modes like for rank if you die with an operator you can no longer use that op in that match going forward which could lead to some interesting plays

I'm curious as to how these plot changes will be resolved in light of Extraction, which takes place in the future. To note, no mention of Nighthaven, Team Rainbow is still a whole, Pulse and Hibana had a kid...

Oop the siege lore gets spicier

I just still find it hard to believe that some of the highly trained military operatives from the most esteemed special forces across the world would switch to a PMC so quickly. A PMC that could very easily become a terrorist organisation at a moments notice. Ela has always been someone who thought and acted outside of what GROM wanted, her transition was no surprise. Finka doesn't make a lot of sense to me, seeing as she is Spetsnaz someone who is trained to be a strong and loyal soldier wouldn't break so easily. But CBRN operators humanitarian implications can always move someone towards a loyalty to people rather than a military or a nation. But this is russia we are talking about, a military that have loyalty DRILLED into them even outside of special forces. IQ is where I really begin to not get it. Tech was her incentive? Yet being GSG9 she has access to the worlds most advanced weapons and tech because thats what germany SPECIALISE in. It makes no sense that she would betray her country like this in pursuit of more tech. Pulse makes no sense. Betraying America, leaving his FBI job, and Leaving Rainbow all because of relationship issues? That makes zero sense, and I want to know the real reason he left. Smoke is an SAS soldier, the best of the best. But it makes some sense that he likes change, that's perfectly fine. But can a PMC who is all about playing outside of the books really help his daughter's situation better than the SAS? Hostage Situations are the SAS' top thing. Ever since Operation Nimrod (the Iranian Embassy siege) the SAS have shown their amazing ability to complete missions with great success saving lives. Surely if his daughter were in danger, those boys could pull her out of the thickest of trouble. But if Ubisoft want to do this I guess we cant do anything about it. But its just sad to see actual good military personnel that kept rainbow feeling like the organisation in Clancy's books, all of a sudden disappear from that organisation. Rainbow (to me) is the United Nations greatest and most helpful organisation, being able to best any terrorist, help every hostage, and keep the world at peace. John Clark made it that way, its what he wanted it to be. Chavez kept that dream alive. Arnot brought the dream back. And Pandey was able to bring those operatives closer, and show the new generations that teamwork is the ONLY way they were going to do their jobs. He showed them that understanding each other and their abilities was they key to success, just as we the players have to understand our pieces in the Rainbow games (Even before siege). The introduction of Nighthaven to Rainbow was already a dangerous and bad decision. Them leaving was good, but taking real soldiers with them, that takes down the very dream Clark had. TLDR: I like Rainbow, I like army, I don't like PMC. I like breaching and Teamwork, I don't like PMC.

What I think about NH is that their going to be the opposite of RB, not as villains but with more force in operation of search and destroy and killing the white mask but no rescuing civilians in danger also the white mask is non-existent but I think the white mask will let these two companies fight each other so they can strike the right moment when all their operators are tired or dead.

Oooooh~ I seeee.. It seems that Pulse maybe trying to hook up with Ace, because Ace is a NightHaven team membeeeeer. Because that log about how Ace doesn't usually do anything if it isn't for his own Ego, Kali seems to be confused about how it doesnt make much sense why Ace was being so buddy buddy with Pulse since he has just joined, and not any of the others. And was confused as to why Pulse was so receptive to Ace. Maybe a new couple???!

One of them is a hikikomori who was apparently being bullied in Rainbow Six, the other one has broken up with his girlfriend and decided to come out of the closet. The one thing I feel forced is Pulse being bisexual. I'm all for representation but this just seems forced. Him being in a dark place due to his breakup is an interesting idea. But due to how it was put here it just feels like something that was only ever an event in Pulse's character history to reveal that he is bisexual. This especially sucks because the Hibana Pulse relationship was one of the deeper, more detailed ones in Siege lore, seeing it tossed to the side like this is disappointing. Just to make things clear I don't have a problem with Pulse being bi, I just don't think it was executed well from a narrative standpoint.
