I was just telling my husband how you haven't seen a bear yet yesterday while we were hiking in the North Carolina mountains and how we haven't seen one in a couple years. We were driving away down the Blue Ridge Parkway and bam, along side the road is momma and her two cubs. I get home to see your video about finally seeing the bear, that is so funny. So excited for you!

Well, you started out the day singing, everything going your way. And then you see your first bear. That's awesome 🎉🎉 Im happy and excited for you. You've been waiting a long time. Now, the 🫎 ❤ We have about 30 Moose sightings a year here in Wisconsin. I'd like to see one in the wild as well. Back in the day, they were common in Northern Wisconsin but rare now. There is Elk and a big population of bear, though. I've never seen one in the wild, though, yet. Wow, that lake was gorgeous ❤ beautiful scenery, and views. The weather looked amazing, bright blue skys brightings everything else up too. Big hugs to Leo❤ ✌️🫶

Hi Mike, I've lived in NH my entire life, and have only seen a bear once in the wild, and it was in VT. I'm so glad you saw one!!! Hopefully you'll see a moose, most likely up in Maine, and put the energy out there to see it grazing in a swamp and not on a trail. They are massive and can charge you. It's Sunday night and there's nasty storms blowing across the North Country, so I pray you and Leo are safe in a hut. No offense taken by the cairn remark. We Karen's are all wonderful. The person who came up with that term probably has issues. LOL Be safe. God Bless.

Yay! A bear! I wish some people understood the excitement of seeing one of those vs some that have a fear of seeing one. I’ve seen about 5 in the Whites and this past winter, I got an up close and personal experience with a moose. It was pretty cool. Congrats to you!!

We have bear and moose in our yard from time to time. But I’ll never forget seeing each of them while out hiking. I’m hoping you see your moose soon. But they’re actually sometimes hard to spot. For being such a large animal, they melt into the woods.

Incredible seeing a bear! Congrats! I've hiked 1000s of miles and never seen one- dont know if I want to and i know some have come through my camp. I live in Maine and the only time I saw a moose was when it popped into the road- never on a hike. 🥳

Agree 100% retractable leashes are bad. That’s probably why someone discarded it. My friend was walking her dog when he spooked at something and moved suddenly, jerking the handle from her hand. He normally would have come back, but once he started running the leash handle was “chasing” him and he just kept running because it frightened him. Unfortunately he ran into traffic and was killed. In the woods, a dog could go running scared and get hung on a tree or just be irretrievably lost.
