@@herondaless It doesn't make sense to me either that Caleb and Kaylee were roaming free, but if I remember correctly in Kaylee's admission letter to her grandma she expressed desires to not be holed up anymore and with them leaving the camp early they may not have been aware that the counselors were still there, especially if they weren't home when Chris arrived to chain himself up. Chris may not have even known that his kids weren't in the cages below, hence him chaining himself up in the attic instead. Bobby and Jedadiah were obviously using boars to bait and capture the werewolves and Bobby even says "where are you going now girly?" at once point, so he was obviously searching for Kaylee. And they definitely were attempting to keep them all safe up until Laura started shooting at them. Maybe the werewolves have to hunt? They do mention that Chris ate Ian to satiate the beast. It is private property, after all. The only people who were killed or attacked were people who weren't even supposed to be there. It was Silas, not any of the Hackett's, that caused Laura and Max to crash. And for all we know, Silas could have been the ones that attacked the hikers and the Hackett's could have been covering it up to keep more people from investigating and possibly hunting them down. Perhaps in one of the 186 endings this game has they explain why the younger Hackett's weren't caged up.

@@v4mpyss if you're responding to my comment, for some odd reason they made it so that you have to pick the evidence up a second time in order to view/read it. Caleb and Kaylee did start the fire as kids (11/12 ish in age), but it wasn't intended to get out of hand. They lit a hay bale on fire to cause a distraction so that they could free Silas, who at the time, appeared to be a little boy locked in a cage by his mother. Hay, however, burns pretty quickly and the fire got out of hand, killing the former Sheriff and Sila's mother. And obviously Silas wasn't just a twelve year old boy and ended up biting Caleb who in turn ended up biting Kaylee and Chris. It was two kids trying to do a good deed gone very wrong. The Hackett family were very much victims in this story.

dylan has been with ryan at summer camp for 2 months and has been absolutely smitten this whole time by the way, your first interactions with him as a character you had two choices to either be "friendly" or "protective" over ryan. you flirt with him all day and kiss him at the fire pit. kaitlyn may have found ryan hot but that's about it and is absolutely supportive of the two getting together. laura has been doing all of this to save her boyfriend max. i reckon she was acting weird with ryan because she's turning. "I could really go for a hamburger right now." "Stop being weird." i see them as the older-sister friend dynamic. and again, what chemistry-- im not saying you shouldn't ship laura and ryan just listing the facts and a short opinion

But I think Clare was talking about the way they bounce easily into each conversation. The chemistry was there definitely even if u ship ryan with Dylan. Doesn't matter how long Dylan and Ryan knew each other tbh. In the beginning Ryan and Laura were hostile to each other ofc but they got better and were a good team, u have to admit that.

@@cxndy8326 Sure, cool. I have thought about it as Clare talking about romantic interests since she was comparing Dylan to Laura. She mentioned Kaitlyn afterwards too and I don't see the same role Laura has with the other two to Ryan. They're an alright team but I see a familial one rather than romantic. What were the people working on this game up to when they put "The Lovers" card to represent them I wonder.. There's no such option to woo Laura. The banter seems off because Ryan is more reserved and seems he would be less likely to get along and converse about personal information to someone he met 10 minutes ago. But I stand incorrected therefore, agreed on platonic chemistry. I'm indifferent to Dylan/Ryan, doing nothing but just pointing out and interpreting what I see. "It doesn't matter how long they knew eachother": I don't disagree but we hardly knew what these characters (Dylan/Ryan/Kaitlyn) did or how these characters bonded canonically before the storm. I think I read somewhere the pandemic is to blame for the rather abrupt ending. Don't know if that's actually true , but I would have liked to have seen a similar ending like in Until Dawn where the surviving characters gave their testimony to the authorities. The podcast is fun but just doesn't give the same impact. Especially without visual.
